Ok, first and foremost, WASH IT! Resin comes from the manufacturer with generally large amounts of mold release. If left onn your glue will not hold and your paint will flake off. Any good grease cutting cleaner works well (I use dish soap) and warm water. Be warned, do not use too warm of water as it will warp your parts. Once you are sure that you have removed all of the release agent you can move on to assembly. Fill any holes and imperfections with epoxy putty. Dry fit the parts before you glue them to make sure they fit properly. If the parts fit is nice and close you can use a quality super glue (I use a product called Zap-A-Gap fairly religiously). If parts fit is very loose with gaps use a good two part epoxy with filler (microbaloons work wonders, a good R/C shop should have them or you can also find it in an automotive body work section). If the model is going to be used for more than just diplay I would recomend pinning the joints for added strength. Once assembled and cured I tend to use a good automotive primer to seal the resin (Krylon is about the best) and prep for painting.
Hope this helps!

I am not sure as I have never used it. Try gluing a couple bits of flash together.

yeah resin is can be a pain in the a**, I have a death korps army from FW so my whole army is resin. Pinning is great i am useing that pin pices in a new army. Super gule, i live and swear by krazy gule, thats the only gule i use for pices. Also i have been useing magnets. They work great but a real pain to use. Never hear of locktite gule, becarefull what *cheap* super gules they may burn the modle as they eat away at it. Also if you have a warped pice form FW i have had this happen a few times, warm water and a high dryer can fix them, BUT BE CAREFULL AS U CAN MAKE IT A LOT WORST. The FW stuff cost a lot, and it sucks when a pice gets ruined.

The locktite i use is about 4 or 5 bucks a tube. it has a small amount of a rubber like chemical which i like because it makes a strong bond but at tje same time is not as brittle

Try gluing 'sprue' pieces together firts. When they hold and don't get molded into a lump of resin its fine for use on minis. I for example use Pattex Super Gel or 2-Componet Super Glue (that stuff is nasty but unfortunately not working with resin as the one chemical destroys it, but great for metal. Glued my Varghulf together with it without pinning and only noticed afterwards that the pins were still lying on the desk, it never broke so far) Well washing was already said. When you file or drill it wear a mask as resin dust causes nasty lung problems

Resin is a finicky product.
If you want more on this I have about 10 years experience with the resin. Contact me through e-mail so I can better respond due to work constraints I can not post all here. Feel free to post my comments to share though.

oh one more thing with resin is that it is very brittle and small pices can snap quickly, not sure how over come this, i have had a few lasgun tips break in just normal movement. But best of luck working with it and hope it turns out great. Like said before working with FW modles is very tempermentl.

I've heard lots of cases of them shipping replacements out without question... I think you were just unlucky... One thing I'll say about resin: DON'T TRY TO CLEAN IT BY SOAKING IT IN DETTOL!!I can't stress that enough ;D

Putting expensive pieces of model into corrosive alkaline bleach- something that will peel skin and flesh away from your body?
Surely no-one would be so foolish....
