As some of you who have already seen in this thread....

... Aeon and I threw down 1500pts of IG vs IG today. Aeon was just (and I mean just) coming off a win against a Tau player, and had yet to defeat me. I was breaking in my new regiment, the Tarrian 5th Assault Corps, against him for the first time, and had my 4-0-0 record against him to maintain. So, when we prepared to fight, there was a lot at stake.
This is my take on the battle, his list, and my list. Obviously, it's a bit biased toward me, but Aeon's report should balance it out,and correct any mistakes I made.
Pre-Game
From playing Aeon before, and having seen the various incarnations of his army, I guessed he would be bringing 2-3 vet Squads, 2 light vehicles, Stormies, and an outflanking platoon. I also knew for sure he was using 2 Russ Chassis and Yarrick, because I was bringing the Russes and he told me he was using Yarrick (I told him I was using Creed in return).
I posted my army list in the thread I linked above, but I'll explain it here. Creed was there to give the "Tactical Genius" rule to the Hellhound, which would then use it's Scout move (if I deployed first) to move into range and hit his Vets, who I guessed would be in Camo Cloaks. The MoO would hit the Vets, Yarrick, and Armour, using the Mortar Trick that Reichsiege posted. The Infantry Platoon was to form the main gunline, dig the Vets out of cover and put a wall of bullets into the Flankers when they showed up. The Platoon HQ and the Vets would hit the flankers, wearing them down, and the HW sections would hit light Vehicles. The Vanquishers would, obviously, hit his vehicles.
Also, the reason I went Gunline is because we had previously agreed to just Stand and Shoot, and I knew he was expecting me to flank.
Deployment
We exchanged Army Lists before the battle, and I was delighted (and surprised) to see I had predicted his list almost exactly. I won the roll for deciding deployment, and chose to Deploy first and go first. I placed the Hellhound directly across from some of the best cover in his deployment zone, forcing him to push his vets back. I then deployed an Autocannon team, Pask in his Vanquisher, an Infantry Squad, and the Vets on my left flank. I deployed 2 squads, the other Autocannon section, the other Vanquisher, and the Platoon HQ on the right. In the Center, I deployed my remaining 2 squads, my Missile team, and Creed, who was hidden behind the building that dominated my center.
Turn 1
After Aeon set up, I took advantage of the "Scout" rule and moved the Hellhound 6in toward his Vets. Then it was my turn, and I moved it another 12in toward his line. My movement done,I began to shoot. The hellhound and several other units killed 7-8 Vets in one squad, and forced them to run off the board. my Vanquishers stunned one Russ and Shook another.
Return fire was light, simply because he only had two units that could shoot. An Autocannon shot stunned the Hellhound, and the Sentinel fired it's plasma cannon at it too, but missed. Things were going well.
Turn 2
I shook one of the Russes again, and Pask managed to blow apart the other one. I inflicted some casualties on his remaining Vets, but most of my shooting was off the mark.
His turn saw the arrival of Yarrick and the Stormies on my left. They fired into the Vet squad, then charged them. The Vets killed 1 Stormie before being slaughtered to a man, but they had done their job. They had distracted the enemy from attacking my Infantry Squad and Autocannon team on that flank. The Stormies and Yarrick then moved back into cover.
Turn 3
My Hellhound, now able to move again, gleefully zipped over to the survivors of the Vet Squad and torched them all. Pask moved his tank so it shielded Creed from the enemy flankers, presenting it with the Front armour will still being able to snipe the remaining enemy Russ. I pulled the Platoon HQ back toward the center a bit, hoping to keep them out of range of Al' Rahem if he arrived on that flank, and also allowing them to move in support of my left if I needed it.
The Vanquishers fired again, immobilizing the remaining Russ and taking the main gun off. My autocannons and Heavy Bolters sniped at Yarrick's unit, killing about half of the Stormies and wounding Yarrick. My Autocannons immobilized his Sentinel.
Aeon's turn saw the arrival of Al' Rahem, and he chose to have them support Yarrick. He hit the infantry squad in the building, killing all but 3 men, and also killed 2 of the three Autocannon crews. He then moved 1 squad next to Yarrick and the Stormies behind the building. Another squad moved through the building toward Pask and my center.
