when i 1st saw the avenger, i knew i had to have it, its the coolest aircraft i've seen for 40k. after reading 'double eagle', 40k novel, i wanted to get a squadron of flyers, and say "gold leader to squadron, vector formation." next up is some elysians, 2 drop sentinels are on its way, hopefully more inf as well at some point in the future.. imgur.com/a/a5t1dN6 |

Yeah, love the armour! Stormlord for the win! I like how it's possible to cram it with infantry, as well as mercilessly gun down the infantry of the opponent  A great looking army! |

I like what I'm seeing, although isn't this all in your other thread? my photobucket was a mess, so i decided to delete the album and reorganize it, some of the photos are from previous, some are new as i incorporate them into existing companies. i am putting together the thunderbolt right now, getting the 2 drop sentinels ready to paint and cleaning the mold lines of the GW trenchline. collecting wise i am getting a steel legion company together, along with a inquisitor retinue. my orks are done for now, i still need more boyz and vehicles. my dark eldar still on spures... |

Loving the armour, just out of interest, where did you get / make the smoke from? i use the flames of war accessory, it comes in black, white, red and yellow for wreckage. |

thanks for the compliments, I have a long way to go, to where i want to be. I like to get the FW master class book and some powders and learn new techniques there. such as weathering better, highlight glass, electric discharge on a power weapon, writings on a banner, freehand nose art etc.

I have that book and I have to say its fantastic! Well worth the price tag and the powders make weathering so much easier. Do it, do it now! You won't be disappointed!

For power weapons, have a look at some youtube/white dwarf tutorials and have a go found a bunch of generic bluish powersword paint job, they aren't what I'm after, found 1 that showed a lightning effect on a sword, which I will try. Getting FW from the US is tough sometimes, the shipping, international transaction fee, all adds up to a steep price. I'm saving up the things I want to get so I can get free shipping, and at a time when the pound to dollar rate is lower. |
