Pssst, Don't tell the commissar, but I may have some heretical stuff in here... Finally I've got 1,000 points done to my satisfaction. Still however, I really don't consider a single model actually done as I still think I'd like to improve on the shading and possibly add some camo. I need to practice with the weathering powders to get a handle on em, cause the tanks really need something to make them pop. That's Commander Mycroft, Master of the Fleet Holmes and his Astropath Watson. Sgt. Edmond Dantes Sgt. Henry Jekyll Demo Guy (The guy you really don't wanna mess with.) Predator Russ? Has all loadouts Stuff on the very near horizon: Vendetta needs work, dunno what and I could use some suggestions. Just feel it needs more to it. Second Predator Russ Next Squad and Chimera w/chimera Forgeworld tricked out, double tracked, leman russ vanquisher/anything. Far Horizon: Three more jeeps, got some more of those lego wheels. Repainting Snipers Don't have a clue when I'll ever get Don Quixote's squad here finished...

Oh your god, these are fantastic! So many cool things, I don't know where to start, I think my favourits are the guys stealing a ride from the tanks and the ones decending from the flyer *drools a bit*

You're awesome. My favorite part is the guardsman sitting on the side of the one chimera.

Great job, love those chimeras! Can you have Autocannons on Chimeras? If so I've been doing it wrong! haha
Wait.. on the jeeps... those are LEGO WHEELS!?!? I actually said that aloud, and with inference!! Great, so all you need are Landspeeder chassis, Lego wheels,a few tank hatches, some guys to sit in it, and Hvy Weapon team stuff? Thats great! What did you do for the guys in the seats? Sentinel pilots?

Thank you all a great deal, you can be sure this flattery will go strait to my head. The tank riders are indeed my favorite, one day perhaps all my tanks will have some. Just the issue of coming up with poses and legs.
With the forgeworld rules, sure autocannon's are five points I believe. I've just been runnin' them as multilasers hidden under there, but I really should try and push for the autocannons. I've heard good things.
Just lego wheels from these small four dollar kits at target. Makes it so I can look like a tool actually rolling the jeeps around making noises. I left the legs of the pilot space marine in there and just sat a torso on top of it, you can barely see them at all. So yup, you've got the ingredient list correct. I tried lookin' around for the tutorial I used, but I can't seem to find it. It's not exactly complicated though, you can pretty much see everything to do from a picture.
Stand in sentinels yeah, would be nice if they had their own rules and I've seen people create some, but it's easier to just go with the established stuff.

Next one I'm thinking a guy being hoisted up on a stretcher to a medi-valk. I've been itching to make another since this one was done so sloppily.
It's so very odd how hard it is to find a good guide to using weathering powders, after days of searching I can only find one or two and even those seem so very vague. I think the results I'm getting may possibly be cause it's Tamiya, as they really just don't seem to apply very well, nothing like the quality of the examples I find. Should probably buckle down and just get the MIG.

Excellent conversations mate! I am especially loving the zip line Valk and the 'assault rifle' lasguns with handles. An idea brilliant in its simplicity. I did the same for stormbolters (back when sergeants could take them, ) but it never occurred to me to use it on lasguns. Bloody good! Also, any chance of a tutorial on those Predator Chimeras? They look amazing!

Man these are all great. How easy where the buggie conversion? Ive been wanting to do something like that but was afraid to go spend the money on something that was far above my converting skill level. ;D
My thought was to use Regular landspeeders for armored sentinels and landspeeder storms for scout sentinels.

Tank tutorial: www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=126013&page=19The buggy couldn't be any simpler a conversion. Cut off what you don't need like the wings, stick wheels on the bottom. Seriously, that's it. I'd actually like to find a use for some storms myself, but to me neither looks very armored at all. Now forgeworld landspeeder tempest on the other hand, different story. Shame they are so needlessly expensive.

you say that most of the stuff is too small? Do you know about the packs? I've been looking for some decent packs to give my boys, and these look good.
