I promised one a LONG time ago, so here it is! Ingredients:Bases Cities Of Death Leftovers Sprue rubble Bitz PVA Sand Step OneHack up Cities Of Death sprue into lots of little pieces Step TwoUsing Plastic glue, stick chunks onto the bases Step ThreeAdd Sprue Rubble and Interesting Bitz to your base. This is best done by putting on a blob of plastic gle and sprinkling on the bitz, like sand, only bigger. Then arrange the chunks so they look nice. *will update when the glue is dry!*

You've always had intriguing bases, so I'm really glad to see this thread. Can't wait to see more.

Step ThreeAdd sand to bases using PVA glue Step FourSpray the bases black If painting another colour (eg brown) saturate the bases with very watery PVA, should be like milk. This'll stop the grains of sand coming off onto your brush and into your paint! Let it dry before you put the paint on though! Step FiveDrybrush them with Codex Grey Step SixDrybrush lightly with Skull White Step SevenThis is where personal preference comes in. Pick out the details in a base colour. I went for dwarf bronze on areas of the shattered eagle and tin bitz on other metal areas Step EightBuild up colours on bases, mine being shining gold on the Eagle bitz and chainmail on the tin bitz, which was followed by a stipple of bestial brown for a rusty look. Step NineGo around the rim of the base with Chaos Black, to cover over all sloppy drybrushing etc. Now your base is finished!

Looks good ... I like the containers you keep your bitz in ... I got TONS of empty sprues but never really figured out just what to do with them yet

Very nice. I do much the same myself, but I don't have any cities of death bitz, so I just use cut up sprues to look like metal beams.
