which is why he probably had the idea of e-mailing the manager.
I dont think that SOWAD was complaining. The sound of his questions and descriptions made it seem the he sincerely wanted to know what the officail ruling was, not complain to us all about how he lost.

As a Lucky13 Apocalypse game, I would say it would have to be legal, as long as it was represented properly. If the store owner allowed it on the table, I cannot see that they had a problem with it.
In a tournament, well unless it specifically states otherwise, then it wouldn't be legal.
How's that SOWAD?

It was Lucky 13s, a friendly-ish game with league like aspects, to the best of my knowledge.

If it is an instore game, then of course the manager is going to say yes, as long as it looks the part and is painted. Simply to get peeps in off the street to see the huge models they'd prob let it pass.
TBH I'm fairly confused as to what sort of game it was, but sounds like you have ur answer. Next time, ask em at the time, and yeah try to let it go.
In an apoc game i played recently we allowed our mate to use home made Tau datasheets for titans and just felt used at the end of it, as he turned up with a bunch of starwars toys for tanks and lego robots as titans.

That is disappointing, but I'm betting he won't get the benefit of the doubt next time... ...you could always grab a small human (also known as a child) and use them as the basis for either a Warlord (possibly too small) or an Imperator Titan in your next game against him! The datasheet is on the GW site...If you fill his/her pockets with enough pieces from your bits box they'd have some GW parts about them too! ;D

BoLS has actually a few pics of emperor battle titans, the ones with fortresses on their backs? Obviously they arent acual size, they would be like 6 feet tall if it was made to scale, but still, its impressive The one on BoLs was from Germany and was to scale...and about 6 foot tall... here's a picture... and here is the rundown on the BoLs website. www.belloflostsouls.net/2009/02/showcase-40k-scale-imperator-titan.htmlSo, how does GW explain Praetorians getting wiped out with this sort of firepower on their side? I assume it must have to do with the 'If it's unsporting, it's unPraetorian' factor.

Adjusts SH arm to measure LoS... SH Imperator: "Mr Mac, I really really need to go...NOW!" Mac: "Hang on.." Rolls dice Dice roll and splash to a stop... Mac:"Flood!!" Watches in horror as his minis are carried away on the surge of a yellow wave... And let us not even think of the terror of bio weapons!

*Image of an Administratum scribe looking very sad while typing at his cogitator*
Does your day seem like one long, monotonous drag?
*Scribe nods with a cute little tear in his eye*
Do you long for some CHANGE in your life?
*Scribe nods again, this time with two tears in his eyes*
Well, try out the TzeenchCo. Random Magic Happy Wand! *hand gives the scribe a wand with the mark of Tzeench on the tip*
The Random Magic Happy Wand turns anything into anything! Don't like your workplace? Just wave the Random Magic Happy Wand and it'll all CHANGE!* *Scribe waves his wand and with a flash of light his cogitator turns into an ostrich. The scribe smiles*
*Administratum overseer storms over to scribe, looking all mean and brandishing a whip menacingly*
Wish your boss would get off your case? With just a wave of the Random Magic happy Wand...
*The scribe waves the wand again, and with a flash of light the Overseer turns into a blue-furred monkey. The scribe is beaming*
Now, the ticket to freedom is yours!** *Scribe tears his tattered robe off, revealing a skin-tight sequined jumpsuit underneath. He and several random girls (who appear out of nowhere in sequined bikinis) hold a dance party, complete with strobe lights, disco ball and laser pointers*
*Not necessarily for the better **Although you are free to do whatever Tzeench will let you do
TzeenchCo. Change is Good.

I think scratch building should be encouraged as this hobby is getting stupid expensive. So long as the scratch models are a good effort to get as close as you can to the real thing, not starwars tanks, that's just cheap and shows no love of the modeling aspect of the hobby. Don't kick up a fuss because he beat you with his scratch built titan, build one of your own! or a couple of smaller class ones. That would be a cool game - or a heap of scratch Shadowswords. Scratch it up I say.
Would you feel so strongly about it if you won?
