Works on any Morale or Pinning Test, regardless of what caused you to take it. If you've got a more or less Infantry Based List, the thing is just about Mandatory. I don't leave home without it when I'm running my Infantry Company.

Don't foget they add +1 to combat results. Or is that the upgrade?

I think regimental standards do both, it's just that the platoon standard only gives you +1 to combat resolution.

Yep, Regimental Standards do both. I've never had that come into play, though.

Since I use a lot of Commissars, that combat resolution bonus doesn't help me too much as many of my units are already Stubborn, so they're not taking Ld penalties when they lose assaults (which actually isn't that often!)

No, the standard does not grant an additional attack. It merely counts as an additional wound dealt by your forces in that assault.

I have found the morale rerolls really useful...... back when i used to take heavy weapons squads. I rarely do now, so find it isn't as useful as my CCS is usually getting stuck in so an extra special weapon is more use.

That said, if ur keeping back and using your orders, then the reroll is excellent. As usually ur near the back, so if they run, they run off the table.
