Heres some forum rules
DO NOT post copy righted information! - Don't post points costs and stats.
Don't write out individual wargear/model point costs. The sum of a unit, with wargear and all, is okay though. (GW legal are very hot on this)
Pay heed to the mods and admin.
No spamming. Spamming is posting multiple replies, right after eachother. Use the "edit" button if you want to change your message, or to add something. "pointless" or offtopic replies, can also be considered spam.
Don't flame.
Nor put up a gas soaked, and quite inflammable threads.
No "1337 sp3ak". Write standard english/american in such a manner the lot of us can understand it. Also, it's would be appreciated that you write to the best of your abilities, at least TRY to build correct sentances, and use correct punctuation.
No personal attacks, EVER!
Respect each others privacy.
YES you might know each others IRL, but if he want's us to know something, said person will respond himself.
No more than 1 account/member.
Please refrain from forum arceology. Ie, don't dig up threads like 10 pages back, unless it's really necessary. Try to write why you did it, so we mods/admins don't lock it on sight.
Don't write out individual wargear/model point costs.
The sum of a unit, with wargear and all, is okay though. Infact, don't break copyright at all.
No armybashing. Armybashing, is writing degaratory remarks against a speciffic army, EXAMPLE: "well, Orks suck, cuz they don't have 3+ armour save"....
No swearing. Same goes for Indecent or offensive language.
Please bear in mind that it can be hard to convert sarcasm, e.t.c. over the internet, so be careful and respect other people's language and culture.
No politics.
Other than that, just use common sense. Remember that this site is open to all age groups so keep it clean. You're a guest here, behave like one.
Signatures If you're going to put an image in your signature then keep it under 400 pixels wide by 200 pixels high.

We here at IGMB use the three stage warning system.
We use this so that all of our members get a fair and equal opportunity. The use of the warning system is solely the mod/admin. No users are allowed to use it.
The systems three stage are as follows.
Stage 1: The user is notified that they have broken a forum rule but either e-mail or Private Message.
Stage 2: Upon a second breach of the SAME rule or a breach that is deemed by the mod/admin as directly or indirectly connected to the first breach, the user is placed on a 50% level warning. They are also given a set time frame as to hold long they are on the warning.
During this time if the user shows a positive change the warning may be downgraded below 50%, but higher then 10%. On the other hand if they appear to not be positively changing then their warning may rise above 50%, but no higher then 90%.
Stage 3: The user has continued to show inappropriate behaviour. The site Global Moderator, Administrator or Sheepz himself ban the member from the site. This banning can be temporary or permanent.
Really we hope never to use this system. This is merely a process that we use in order to ensure our members and guests are treated appropreately.
The Colonel, Sheepz and team.

Dear IGMB Users,
If it should be found, by myself or another moderator, that your post does not adhere to the rules of the English language, do not be surprised if I delete it out of hand. You have been warned, people. A mistake here and there is acceptable and understandable, but if you post something that:
Does not capitalise the letter at the start of every sentance, proper nouns and 'I', Fails to employ commas, full stops and other grammatical aids correctly. Hideously butchers correct syntax and spelling.
Then expect it to be purged from the glorious IGMB. Consider yourselves warned.
Yours Faithfully,
Rolling Thunder, Moddissar, Head Grammissar.

Some additional rules clarifications
Necromancy of Threads Exactly what constitutes Thread Necromancy is a bit vague, so here are some tips on what is usually considered Threadmancy
-If the topic hasn’t had a reply in 2 months or more -If the topic has moved to the second page of the sub board - If the topic is about old news (like there being a new Cadian battleforce, or a new IG Codex)
There are obviously exceptions to these rules, like if you find a particularly nice project log that hasn’t been updated for a while and want to ask how something is done, if the OP is still hanging around (Remember, you can always check to see when a member was last on by looking at their profile). Please understand that the Mods aren’t going to police every single thread on the site and lock them all once a certain time has passed without a reply, so if you aren’t sure, ask.
Points Costs The standing rule is that you should never post the cost of an individual unit or vehicle here. If you do, GW’s lawyers will come and beat us all to death with 8th Ed Fantasy Rule Books then sue our corpses. Posting a combined total, like the cost of a squad of Guardsman with a GL and AC being 65pts, is fine, but posting the individual costs of the Guardsman squad, the AC, and the GL is not.
Politics Woz made it fairly clear in the first post of this thread. No politics. Perhaps more specifically, no arguments about politics, which can be avoided by not talking about it all together. More often than not, political discussions will devolve into a huge argument, tempers will flair, insults will be slung, and feelings will be hurt. You can discuss it by PM all you want, but if an argument starts to brew, I will replace the contents of any post that violates this rule with pictures of adorable animals until the argument ceases.
Respecting other Members Insults in general should be avoided, but, this being the internet, it will happen (either intentionally or unintentionally). Racist and hateful remarks are obviously unacceptable, and will be edited in an amusing manner. If you do have an argument with someone, and wish to have it out with them, please do it by PM. It’s the forum’s equivalent for “Taking it outside”, and it keeps all personal issues with other members personal. In general, treat other members with basic human decency, no matter what you may think of them.
To tag on to that, remember that this is about a game that we all play and enjoy. If someone wishes to play competitively over fluffy, respect that. If they play fluff over competitive, do the same. If they choose to play an army, then don’t give them crap for it (yes, that includes playing Ultramarines). If you have an issue with how someone else plays or what army they use, then I have good news for you. You don’t have to play them, so you don’t have to worry about it.

Another Reminder:
It is illegal to make copies (casts) of Games Workshop miniatures. It is illegal to make copies (casts) of converted Games Workshop miniatures. It is illegal to market third party models or model parts and market, sell, distribute or in any way associate them with Games Workshop's registered and trademarked Intellectual Property. It is illegal in any way to attempt to sell, market or otherwise make a profit from Games Workshop intellectual property that is not covered by Fair Use legislation - i.e. artwork, stories, or any other material based around or set within GW intellectual property.
It is not, however, illegal to manufacture and sell third party models that are usable with GW models. If you intend on doing so, please ensure you at all times avoid any use or implication that your product is intended as a replacement or a copy of Games Workshop Intellectual Property. Words to avoid are things like "Cadian" "Praetorian" "Mordian" and anything trademarked by GW.

In light of recent events, I feel I should clarify that mods will ban you if we think you're making comments that exceed the bounds of good taste. We will warn you about the behavior beforehand, and if it continues, we will ban you for a length of time we deem appropriate. If you think it was unjust, you are free to PM us after the ban is lifted, or via AIM or some other method of contact (click the little yellow running man under my avatar to IM me. Even if I'm not online, send me a message, and I'll respond when I sign on).
Taste is a subjective thing, obviously, but in general, if you wouldn't make the comment to your parents or loudly in public, it might not be best to post here.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask us. Especially before you post.

Just to make it clear, members of the IGMB, like many forums, will expected to conduct themselves with some level of civility toward their fellow members. The mods aren't asking for everyone to get along all of the time (this is the internet, after all), but we want this forum maintains it's fun, friendly, and gleefully insane atmosphere. If we feel a member's behavior has crossed the line, we'll give them a verbal warning. If it proves to be a consistent problem, we reserve the right to ban the offending member. Banning is a last resort, though, and, as always, we encourage members to come to us if they have a complaint about another member's behavior.
As always, our proverbial door is always metaphorically open.
