So I was thinking, Servitors have a 4+ save and a Tech Priest has a 3+ save. If you fielded a Wall/Gun Line with Heavy Bolters, Multi-Meltas, or Plasma Cannons. You can field a wall of 10 Servitors with 4 Heavy Weapons. And In Melee Tech-Priests are Vicious, They have Power Armor and a Power Weapon. And Their Servo-Arm Str 8 and Ignores Armor.
If you had the Servitors as either a Cover Save or extra fire power to a Gun-line army. I see no reason to NOT field them. Sure they cost some points but they more effective than priests in a Ranged Guard army. I mean almost every Guard Army fields some type of vehicle.
Servitors are 15 pts each so a full squad is only 75 pts which isn't that bad.
Two Tech-Priests and Servitor Squad will equal 240 points Vanilla. Which is a total of 12 units that can fit into a Chimera.
You can field a Tech-Priest with 2 servitors armed with heavy bolts for 115 pts and double that for 4 heavy bolters for a total of 230pts this isn't as cheap as a H. Weapon Teams but still MORE FIRE POWER.
I am going to probably field this for a Heavy-Tech Based army.

but for that 230 points you can almost get 3 heavy bolter teams.

Yes you can do all those things...but 4 squads with an officer and a h.b each is only about 250 pts. so ask youeself, which buy is more appealing? Not that this isn't an idea worth exploring a bit more in depth as a supplement to your army, but it just isn't something that's spamable, if you get my meaning...

I like the idea or if you wanted to do a counter assault unit. the servitors technically all have power fists. They all have servo arms so for the vanilla squad you get 13 standard attacks with 3 being power weapons. Then you get anothe 6 power fist hits from the servo arms that they all have isn't that just great. You would be using a lot of points in order to get that out of any other unit.

HO(nestly, I don't see the point of giving serivors heavy weapons unless it's for fluff, or with an inquisitor to target deep strikers.
Don't have my dex on me atm, but getting the regular servo armed servitors for a techpreist and mounting them in a chimera would be much more use IMO, better chances of getting to those damaged vechiles, and the chimera mounts some pretty good fire power anyway, for not that much points that a few heavy bolters, can move and shoot, and.... well for me is a better offer. HEavy weapons on servitors are a bit too pricey for their BS.

I love servitors but putting any heavy weapon less then a plasma cannon is worthless, and even then armoured sentinels work better in that role.
So if your going to use servitores in my eyes use them as a repair/counter assault unit.

This would be a cool idea for a fluff-based IG/AdMech force.
