Well I wanted to try a new, more professional style and this Techmarine was the perfect choice to try it on.... As you can see he's only just been started but I'm happy with how it's going. The pictures make him look a lot more shiny than he actually is :/ C&C is really appreciated. Cosmic

As a fan of the whole techpriest thing, and as an owner of several types of the little mechanic priests, I must say that he looks fantastic. Praise the Omnissiah!
The points of reflective white light are just magnificent. Carry on the good work!

I have 2 of these cool looking dudes, one I made in the normal way the other I replaced his flamer and plasma pistol with the tornado assault cannons... it looks awesome!... and backed up with 4 heavy bolter servitors he can pile out the shots! He's not finished, and nowhere near the standard you've achieved, but I figure you might like him! and sorry for having a naff angle with two others in but I haven't a better picture at the moment - I bought pound shop batteries and they allow me to take 5 photo's per battery!!.. rubbish!

Looking good Tread. Seriously, it's not fair how good a a painter you are... Aw I'm sorry Walrus I'll do worse next time. It just takes time, give it some time and I'm sure everyone on here will reach a 'eavy metal standard, I've still got a while to go yet!!

Walrus: Some of my very first painted models I put up on here are shockingly bad, I pick my paint brush up every night and since i've been doing that, im getting better and better every time Practice,Practice,Practice Cosmic: Very Nice start on the model, The highlights are really nice. Reminds me that i should paint my Tech and servers Major Downer

Thanks everyone I've done a little bit more on him but not enough to warrant more pictures, but they'll come next week or something. I've also been testing out a possible Night Lords scheme which has turned out quite alright! So some pictures of that next week too. EDITAhh why not ... As you can see I've only done the shoulder pad and the front left of the bike, but use you imaginations about how the whole thing will look Cosmic

Looking nice and boxy, Just like a good robomarine should, also the belt buckle thats a gear is a nice touch, maybe some plastic card to make some super boxy robot enhancements. Overall, Makes me a bit jealous of your power armour. unlike the smurfs

That looks suitably superb. Great job! Thanks Shostak, hopefully I'll get my hands on some Chaos Marines and give it a proper go. As much as I'd like to buy an Airbrush I'm afraid it's just a good old paintbrush this time. Ah well here's the recipe for how I did mine.... 1. Just do some jagged lines with some watered down Enchanted Blue, very lightly now. (This was done on top of a Black undercoat, drybrushed Enchanted Blue, then dry brushed Enchanted Blue + Skull White) 2. Then in some areas paint in a section of Enchanted Blue+ Skull White. 3. Smaller Highlight of Space Wolves Greay 4. Dot of Skull White 5. Wash of Asurmen Blue 6. Then just go over the white again 7. And finally paint Chaos Black in the empty areas. And voila

Give it a go sometimes the most simple schemes or techniques can turn out looking really good.

Definitely paint all the pieces seperately if you want a good quality, and just take your time if you can. The model benefits from all the details so make sure you have a good selection of brushes. And happy painting
