Ok. A quick picture of my deathstrike. Its sort of like the one on warseer, but the BoLS one (dec 08) was my main inspiration. I used the same rocket. It was from a Revell 1:144 scale Discovery shuttle with booster rockets. The best thing is that you get 3 rockets and a shuttle for £23.

Hmm.... Nice, Is the missile hinged to lay across the top or not?

I always thought the 3" radius of the blast was just silly when you consider how big it's meant to be o.0

Thanks! @ogryn Crazy & WILLEM - its got 2 metal pins drilled into the missile. And corresponding holes drilled into the top SCUD bit. A small 25mm door hinge was screwed in with wood screws to give the 'SCUD bit' movement. It sort of moves less than 90 degrees. ReWolf & mk3cortina - the blast is a bit small. Max. 12" I think. Well its not a nuke, its just a large plasma bomb. I just wanted a 40k SCUD! Spinning Head Guy - It is! Thanks! Anyway, that was a picture taken a month ago. Last week I painted Scorched Brown bands across it so that it matches my other vehicles in the Ektos 'Slaught Lancer army. I took more pictures of it yesterday with basilisks and techpriest retinue, so I'll put them up in a couple of days. I want to go and play a game with it. Today, hopefully, fingers crossed. It will be a 1750 pointer, and I'll deploy around 90 infantry, 30 rough riders, 2 basilisks and this baby. Wish me luck! I'll post my 1750 list soon.

The best bit about that is you can do your evil villain laugh whenever you roll to see if it fires . Pretty sweet converion though. there isn't a forgeworld kit for the Deathstrike I take it?

I always thought the 3" radius of the blast was just silly when you consider how big it's meant to be o.0 even if that rocket just fell on the enemy it would have a bigger destruction radius that 3 inches!

It's to compensate for the pure unadulterated PWNAGE the Deathstrike brings to the battlefield!

I'm not usually the one saying this but...
Its WAY too big, and all the weight is in the back. That chimera would tip over backwards just deploying that thing, let alone firing it! Other than the size I have no beef with this though.
Cheers.

That's one hell of a big rocket, any chance of some close ups of the mounting cradle.
Cheers

Sorry about the bad quality of the pictures. I'm using a mobile phone. Its heresy! @col.Corbane - I'll try to get closer pictures, but my phone's zoom function is quite bad. starwoof - there are weight compensators built into the main body. you'll notice the raised body. (There i go again with the techpriest jargon). @kavill85th. No there won't be a FW model (I think) Thanks for your kind comments everyone. I played my first 40k game since January yesterday. I'm a big fan of 'My Name is Earl', and what happened yesterday was 'karma's reward' for kicking UltraSmurf @ss back in January (with Orks - the shame!) So my Guard 1750 point match was an embarrassing defeat. To cut a long story short an Ultra siege dreadnought with seismic hammers and heavy flamers landed in the ONLY space on the table in my quarters. A drop pod spaced hole in the line. He destroyed my launcher in turn 2 with ease! If only he scattered. If only he didn't seize initiative. If only that pesky Thunderfire cannon didn't turn a rough rider squad into horse meat! I made the techmarine pay, with earthshaker rounds. Also I had a special weapon squad with 3 meltaguns really near the damned dread, and they kept MISSING. ALL GAME! Even with the Bring it Down order. *sigh* Anyway.. the kid did a good job. Expert! Gutsy move with the drop podding dread! I'm going to report to my local Arbites station for rehabilitation. Thats what happens when you lose a deathstrike.

sorry for the late reply, but jumping sky-rockets Batman! Thats a huge rocket! A bit of me says,"Hmmm...it's a bit too big to be considered realistic," but another part of me says,"Ahhhhh huge rocket, I wish I had one of those!" I'd love to see the look on your opponents' faces when they see a rocket as big as their torso roll up on the battlefield!

I quite like tabloid/junk journalism. The only thing I disagree with is the fact that they give the Page 3 girls a political opinion. They don't want to discuss politics! They get paid to pose topless. That particular issue didn't even have a page 3 girl . I want to complain. ...and no, it's a bit hard for toilet paper! @happyorange . The rocket is a bit intimidating. Will it ever actually fire instead of getting destroyed? That is the question.

Looks awesome. All it needs now is a lot of steam streaming out of the vents, you can use cotton balls to make this. Also smoke and flames from launch would be cool, as well as more paint on the rocket itself.

I might put Imperial Eagle tranfers on it eventually. I'm doing a new army now with lots of Leman Russ and Hellhounds. I'm thinking of giving both the missile and the launcher names. Any suggestions will be carefully considered. Praise the Machine God!

Those are my 'slaught lancers. I'm shelving them at the moment, but I first started them back when the foundation paints came out. Colours - orkhide shade, macharius solar orange and iyanden darksun. My favourite colours.
Never believe a holiday can be 9.50
