Imagine that, Elysians. The pictures are blurry though, you can't really see any details. Which is a shame because I've never seen a painted army of them before.

majorjav: What do you use for the mortar, looks like the towed 120mm one used by european Nato members?. But there is another question on this fact....is there any transport capacity in your unit to tow this weapon? Any light 4x4 vehicles? And agree with makarova, I like to see better pics for the details please... Greets from a snowy germany, Watts

Hi there!
It is true that some picts are blurry...My bad, I will fix these! They were the first of the series so....I'll try my best for the following ones!!!
For the mortar, I use 2 cadian/catachan mortar tubes, 2 wheels (from CSM bikes), a tank hatch as a base and CSM bikes handles plus some sprue left over....Easy and quick!
I do not intend to give them a towing vehicule as I want them dropped....but I'm thinking about a modified rhino counting as Griffon or a centaur...
Indeed, the heavy mortar is based on the French 120mm towed mortar.

I really like them! I love those sitting down Elysians in the Valkyrie and the heavy mortar. The new picture quality is better but I'd love to see the others up close too.

Thanks for the pics... The idea with the mortars ar cool, but the distance from wheel to wheel ? Can you load this weapon in a valkyrie? Hmmm...for a towing vehicle, what´s with using a little modified cyclops tank (with one man crew)? Could be airliftet by an valkyrie and the wheeled mortar is´nt so heavy. Elysian stuff is cool.. ;D I like it. Tomorrow I´ll do some experiments for an real sized elysian helmet... Greets to france... Watts

Other picts!! 33!! I have changed the blurry ones to new ones!! Better I hope!!
Itericwatts, from wheel to wheel, I have 3 cm. It can fit in a Valk... The cyclop idea is quite interesting....but I prefer the cyclop as it is: a moving demo charge!!lol!!
Waiting to hear from your Elysian helment experiment!!

Beautiful green stuff work. They are Cadians, right? Then you're heavily converting them?

Yes my friend!!
I use Cadians as a base for my Elysians and they are quite converted!!
I have trimmed and greenstuffed the helmet, I have removed shoulderpads, trimmed the jacket, sculpted gautlets, quilted arm pads and added pelvis and shoulder protections...
All this make me create a mini in a 20min time roughly....

It's very original. The Forge World Elysians are lovely pieces (very small, though) and you've managed to make the slightly larger Cadians look like Elysians. Well done with the sculpting.
Well you have to use the green stuff within 15-20 minutes anyway, or it starts hardening.

Thanks for your comments Cheminhaler!
For the greenstuff, I have only started to use it very recently...Before that I used Milliput. To sculpt my minis I will only do it by 6-7 minis as to avoid greenstuff to harden. It is said that greenstuff starts hardening in 2 hours or so..

Doode I love the servo snipers, they're brilliant! How'd you make them?

Post by majorjav on Feb 4, 2010 14:17:59 GMT -5
Well they are quite simple to make....
If you have left over skulls (like on the chaos vehicule sprue), IG tank comm link, flamer bit, lasgun bit and Sentinels exhausts, you can make them....Oh and you need flying stands.....
Dirt cheap and easy to make.....about 5min a skull! That's it!

Damned...I think elysians are the one which carrying the easy equipment.. ;D They look fxxxxxing heavy...well done.. On the last pic,the soldier of the left side , what fixed this guy on the upper leg? Frags or ammo for an grenade launcher? I build such a carrying equip in real yesterday, end of the week I think I got some pics...I use it to store 6 rounds of 40mm Grenades for the launcher. Nice Minis...and the same idea in use equipment ;D Greets Watts
