Lucan strode through the corpses and picked up one body, it was marked with scars and holding a mining laser. "Ready to fire and they were screening him from view".
"Don't mourn these men"
He pointed at the guides.
"You two, lead us to the edge of the city through the mines."

Threepwood, walked over the bodies and kicking fallen firearms away from the limp extremities of their former owners and training his rifle around the pile. After that while Lucan conversed with the two guides the old monian walked over to the mine entrance and scoured the doorway with a scavenged lamp-pack for booby traps or threats.
He was about to go back to the armoury to fetch some mines to cover their path, then remembered it was now but a smouldering ruin. Damnit Jaythord! You're getting old man!
No stranger to improvisation, Threepwood went about taking some grenades off some fallen guards and began to place a few tripwires and other hidden explosive surprises for any unwanted guests who might want to crash their party. He drew up a rough map of the locations of the traps to prevent any team-mates tripping them and walked over to the captain. He needed to be sure he could trust these two "guides".

"Excellent so it's a two day walk through the tunnels to this rockface, then we just have to dig or blast our way through into an old abandoned service tunnel and we can take that deep into the city. Do the enemy know about the tunnel"
The more human of the two guides looked up. "Not likely, the pro-imperial gangers and mutants hang around there along with any kroot who weren't corrupted. You're likely to find friends down there if they know who you're here to kill"
"I want the minehead secure, set with traps and rigged to collapse. There will be no going back"

"We could also use a small cave in to create a good barrier behind us. I don't suppose we have anyone with engineering experience...?"

Bevon served as a Corilithian Engineer but that was years ago. And Corilithian Engineers are effectively up-armed and armored storm troopers, so that was a no. Bevon walked slowly behind the mutant, he hated them, just like all of members from his system, mutants can not be trusted and had his rifle's safety off "Just in case."

"We could use the laser to carve up the roof", said Vought.
"I'll do it.", said Zag. "I know how to use those." He grabbed the laser, then turned to the group. "Alright yobs, follow me an' Monty. I'll fire up the laser once we're inside." Zag leaned down and whispered something in the Monty's ear. Monty, who had been staring aimlessly off into the dusk, looked at Zag quizzically, nodded, then began shambling off into the dark mouth of the cave.

Gregori reached back and unhooked a frag grenade and whipped it into the pack. "nuts!" The blasted vox slammed to the floor. Lolita looked back. "Let's go! Knives out!" Lolita pulled out a pistol and ran Gregori accompanied her.

"Gentlemen let's get to work"
Lucan pointed forwards and waited for the guide to lead before following him into the gloom.
