Everything seems to be the bane of your army at one time or another, FKM. Not at all and at least i don't spam some unit and make it overpowered. The only armies i really hate are eldar and tau in the hands of really good players. Usually though i face marines or something and i generally don't get a lot of practice against eldar or tau. I do incredibly well against hordes that rush at me (orks and nids). My army was also mostly completed in the old codex where there were no flyers, one type of hellhound, no squadrons of tanks, 2 types of leman russ, 1 type of artillery, and veterans could infiltrate (something i used for tank hunting). That's why my army is what it is. Things were very limiting back then compared to now. Besides it's not like i have a ridiculous amount of money i can spend for fixing up my army. You know i have expenses to pay and other things to do. Why do you have to go out of your way to insult me without provocation though? Only a jerk would want to do that.

There was an insult somewhere? *wanders over to RT and whispers "You must teach me the secrets to your stealth insults... I don't appear to be able to find them..."* Anyways, I doubt you'd need that much practice FKM - I don't exactly get to play that often, so I'm rusty at the best of times Just been randomly reading through the DE codex (again...) and I've really come round to the idea of Hellions - originally, I really didn't like them, but somehow they've suddenly grown on me... maybe it's that IC grabber they can have...

I really like the new Hellion models too.
I'ma buy ten of them... and probably paint them dark green and purple.

I planned a squad of 15 with helliarch as part of the extra 500pts to make a 2000pt army (I'm getting more and more tempted by these cursed xeno!)

For some reason hellions never interested me stat-wise but i admit the combat drugs, str 4, and long flight distance probably have their advantages. The models were actually the only thing i liked. The idea of hover boards was really attractive to me even when i was a beginner in the hobby.
You ever see a model or group of models you would like to get just because they look cool? Well i'd do that but for the most part i haven't unless i'd use them. Warlord spinetail for my skaven is probably an exception (maybe). I also think i'd do that with the possessed csm, somewhat the obliterators, lightning claw assault terminators (i have a fascination with lightning claws), sternguard vets (i only like a few sm models), striking scorpions, maybe wraithguard (i heard they're a poor choice of unit to take), a few variants of leman russ that i'll never use (like the punisher), possibly necron pariahs (more because they're interesting even though they're probably ugly looking due to age), mephiston, possibly the sanguinor, and the sanguinary guard.
This is provided i don't do eldar or blood angels though i'll probably do both. I don't know if sanguinary guard, the sanguinor, or striking scorpions are very good choices though. You might also want to keep mephiston somewhat safe in a squad or in cover as i hear he's a big target that likes to get gunned down quickly.
Anyway i've already mentioned what i'll take but it could change as i play the game. I'm thinking if i take bloodbrides i'll go full out with the razorflails (re-rolls to hit and to wound for the wielder of course and counts as 2 CCW's). I figure i may also take urien rakarth and maybe a couple other SC's and some haemonculi and one archon (i'm trying to load up on pain tokens but if i do then this route works really well with grotesques). Maybe having at least one chronos would be good (a pain token generated just for killing one guy in an enemy squad). I may even take a couple chronos if i really want an army to get beefed up on tokens.

Got my hands on the new codex yesterday and drew against Space Marines in a 500-point game. I would have won it too, if he didn't have that stupid Dreadnaught... (I was going Wych Cult, led by a Haemonculus).

Ah, now they're all forms of ingenious, yet subtle insults - not stealth insults... I'm still attempting to work out how any of it could have been interpretted as an actual insult. Ofcourse, now I have got an urge to watch a big pile of Blackadders...
Anyways, I think I really need to get a game in against some of these Xeno scum... I think there might be a large (maybe apocalypse) game at HQ this saturday... wonder if I can make it to that...

how come dark eldar haywire grenades cost 2pts a model (certain upgrades), but for Tau and nercons have grenades that are worse but cost 3pts a model?
I guess when they redo their codex's they will get the same type at 2pts...

Probably the same reason Guard power weapons are cheaper than Marine ones - depends upon their effectiveness in game terms and other things too.
But I wouldn't be surprised if the cost alters when the codexes are redone. Other than Necrons though, I don't really think there are any codexes that really need updating now.

wychs having the 2pt grenades are very effective in games. Means they can charge anything really (apart from monsters) and probably do well. They even kill dreadies. Its a must have upgrade for them imo. Such a bargain.
They are best value unit I have seen in the codex imo.

But they have a 6+ save - meaning you only need to squeeze out a bad fart to kill them (or preferably use a multilaser).

if they have any sense they will be in cover or locked in combat or in a transport.
Once they are in the mix of things they kill everything. Not bad for something that costs 12pts (inc 2pt for haywires).

The Dark eldar have a strong codex, but have become insanely un-forgiving to the players.

My hetlan's back! *Gropes ass and boobs (men have boobs too if they're fat)*
You've been gone a while. I checked that you never saw this thread before you left. What've you been gone for? Did somebody strap you to a chair in their basement? Was it terrorists?

A grue? Then you'd be eaten i suppose.
Dark eldar are incredibly sexy. I totally want some for christmas. Other than that i've said pretty much everything i'm going to say about them. I still wish they had more models released. There is not much of anything released currently.
Skaven get more releases in january! Sweet!
