Maybe they're working on the theorythat if one person writes them all and adds in the same amount of outlandish bulwarks, they'll be balanced... against each other...??

Or that if it's the same guy destroying all the fluff, it'll work itself out as a new fluff background.

Ugh i prefer the whole silent, cold, heartless, soulless menace that is the necrons. Please don't make them a sinister evil that kills for pleasure. It's supposed to be killing in the same form as harvesting crops though actually seeing that would be boring.

Actually if this is true the necron codex doesn't sound half bad. I might want to see c'tan in though it makes sense they are out. Problem is i would like a way to get melee in fast but they seem to have it. I don't like the idea of top tier armies anyway so i don't mind if it isn't. Actually most of everything they said sounds good to me. I'd have to see it and read the rules though. Also wondering on the whole different colors of staff for like gauss weapons. If they don't have the 'terminator' look they'd better at least have the egyptian look down or something that goes well with undead. I actually liked the terminator look even if it was basic and a bit bland. It gave the whole army of slow death and nothingness feel that goes well with the army fluff (except for the skimmers).

@effect: It's like christmas now! I think it could look alright. It does sound like it could be perverted though. Damn those red rods! I thought there were also rumors of LED lights. Imagine if the red rods glowed. Sure it'd be cool but it would look like christmas lights.

LEDs would be very cool though

I would not be a fan of different colored rods. Goulish green glow goddamit!
These rumors do sound interesting, though. Any news about Flayed Ones and Pariahs?

or perhaps a classic black hole... You mean the inside of Matt Ward's head? Anyone want to take bets on how the Crons will be rewritten? I'm betting that they either start harvesting people instead of killing them, or that they're made into semi-good guys with "a mysterious agenda" that might end the threat of Chaos or whatever. I think Ward won't be able to bring himself to make write an army as "bad guys", despite his best efforts with GK. Reds

Oh I think that fighting chaos will be a given. Or maybe they will team up with some orks to kill nids.
I just don't like the whole "different coloured rods" thing. Necrons have green light and always will.
