But this is not back in the day stuff, as they still sell some of it Very true. i guess I meant 'when you could play it in a GW store and buy it off the shelves'. It's a shame some of GWs best games have been stuffed in a corner, so to speak.

So very true. But hey, what do you expect from gw? employee: Sir will we be continuing the mordheim line? manager: How much do you need to play it? employee: About 15-20 miniatures manager: For faks sake, put it on mailorder and go promote some skaven!! There were just too many games that didn't bring up much cash. Mordheim, gorkamorka and necromunda to name a few. Epic not so much, but a smaller fanbase. Well not in their eyes they did. I know people who bought every single warband for mordheim, or 10+ teams for bloodbowl, just because it was doable and didn't cost you an arm and a leg.

If only they could see that having multiple games with easy entry would be hooks for their more lucrative products.

problem i think most people have with epic 40k in terms of moeny is that they feel ripped off by only getten 10 small tanks for the price of a 40k predator lol they amount the value more to the amount of materials used rather than the time it took for someone to model something that small.

thats something ive noticed since returning to the hobby since 2nd/ 3rd edition... is that models seem to be priced via their gaming value and not by the value and amount of material used to create the model... which annoys me alot... as well as finecast being more expensive when its obviousley a cheaper material than metal (im proberbly wrong, perhaps weight clouds my judgement)
i would get into epic but considering the ranges have been taken over by forgeworld and have a premium price i doubt id ever will.
