Geat game guys.. I actually only had trust in soap by the end. But it seems my initial beliefs were correct. Good work guys... Hope to see all of you next time Im a trustworthy kind of guy Well that and the fact your a fellow northerner When Rook started sticking up for Walrus.... I started to doubt him a little, but would rather take my risk's with him than the ones I was adament were the Things. A little note for improvment: I would say make sure all character cards have a set list of equipment. And perhaps make it so the Things use of Radio is more 'limited' rather than non existant. Hopefully if we have more players next time... Things could get FAR more interesting. But this game was very satisfying... @wraelis and Walrus: I have nothing against you guys ;D I think your both great... I just had to follow my hunches.... Sorry if I came across a little nasty to either of you Dave

It wold have been interesting to have one radio fail so they was the risk of lynching an innocent. I'm really looking forward to next game. Would be interesting to see if loyaltys carry over...

Well... My advice would be that we all try and drag other members into the game from other threads.... try and get a good number of players and take her from there.... That could be very interesting.

Well it could of went either way, in any of the phases. On Night 1 attacking Wraelis was a good idea but if you had taken the gamble and attacked Soap, you may of lost a Thing to his suicide attempt but that would of crippled the remaining Imperials. On Day 2 the Things could have all voted for the Sergeant having controlled 50% of the votes and as Rook stated he was also suspicious of Sarge. And even if it ended in a tie vote I probably would have just killed you both. ;D And yes, radio was crazy powerful in this which is why we felt we had to go for you as soon as possible. Yes, I will take that into account for the next game.

No, safe from voting so the Things couldn't randomly lynch him on day one. That doesn't help him from being nom nom nomed in the night.
But now we know and knowing is half the battle.

If you wanted to keep the Sergeant as an IC role then just have the Sgt have a random card rather than be publicly acknowledged as the radio check. That way you can keep the structure of a guard squad.

Here is the IC some of you would have missed on night 1.
* * * * *
Wraelis sat aloft in his observation tower overlooking the complex, every so often he would trace himself back and forth as he viewed the security cams. “Every bloody time, I draw the frakken short straw.” He opened the towers single door and continued around the small catwalk, he knew something was up and he could feel it or was it just the cold.
He threw his long las over his shoulder and perched it over the railing training his sights on Walrus's door. “Alright time to make a stand, nobody is getting past me.” A gush of wind caught his attention as he quickly turned. “Must be my imagination.” He placed his eye over his telescopic sight and moved it gently down the corridor.
Another cool breeze struck Wraelis's neck, giving him a feeling that he was being watch. Little to his own knowledge he was, he saw a flicker of light and drew his sights. It was Warus all right flailing at him like an idiot with a torch, with a cocky little smile enveloping his face. Warus noticed his eyes dart right. He turned just as emptyhat charged to take a swing at him, Wraelis's las weapon discharged striking harmlessly at a metal post while emptyhat tackled him to the ground. With a lick of the lips and a barely audible laughter, his head began to split in two. A gaping maw where his face was suppose to be. Wraelis fought back, for the love of the Emperor he was fighting, but this beast, this thing had incredible strength.
It was over in seconds, the maw clamped down and ripping out Wraelis's throat, savoring every moment and remembering to leave some for his other half, or should he now say his other third. Within hours the transformation would begin, Wraelis's dead cells would mutate and regrow. He had became a thing.
*****
Rook slipped away into the dead of night, retreating to his quarters. Rooks hands begin to tremble as he grabbed for his keys, he singled out the correct one and place it into the locker. Reaching in grabbing the Flamer unit and its back mounted tank, strapping it on then checking the O2 levels.
Rook exited the room and begin to walk down the hallway, Foster hadn't said a thing all day, did his silence prove to be his down fall. Eventually Rook tracked him down on his designated night patrol route, peaking around the corner Rook whistled to gain his attention. "Hey a$$hole, let the Emperor cleanse you with holy flame."
Rook hit the ignition switch, sending out a jet stream of burning promethium. The flames engulf Foster as he screamed, sounding all to human and within seconds the screams were silenced.

Kind of what I was thinking for the sgt, empty. In regular mafia the police officer is secret like that, ad every night he investigates one person in the game and the game manager tells the officer if that person is mafia. Adds some more to the RP portion as the officer has to convince people who the bad guys really are, but tries to keep his position secret. Maybe have someone be an inquisitor or something?

We'll see what the Lord General comes up with next. After all the next setting could be an Imperial cult with corrupted members, Genestealers stalking an underhive gang, Tau forces applying a join us or die approach to a Governor's court, or something else.
More guard vs. thing would also be cool.

After you mentioned an Inquisitor it made me wonder what it would be like if instead of a monster it was Inquisitor vs Inquisitor. Both start off as a unknown to the others and are attempting to get the other Inquisitor killed. All the other characters start 'neutral' and maybe with a public identity, like priest or Colonel, but their cards also give them some secret motives, sympathies or hatreds, maybe even dirt on one of the other neutrals.
Each day there is the chance to lynch and each night the two Inquisitors can attempt to recruit.

I could be cooking up dozens of different plots.
- A small Tau colony which has been recently liberated has been seeing a string of murders recently, it is your job to find this pro Imperial Scum or Destroy the foul Xenos. - A boarding team, investigates a drifting space hulk only to then find they are being picked off one by one every night, one of your team has been touched by the taint of chaos as you continue your mission you must find this traitor. - An Arbiter team has been sent to dispatch a believed Genestealer cult, the team arrived at the destination to find it deserted and find themselves unable to evac as somebody has sabotaged their vehicle. One of you is apart of this cult, use your wits and find the Xeno Frakker.
First that came to mind and took about 5 minutes to write, there are others I have written down. I just have to choose one of my brain storms and build on the plot.

It would be intresting to have a repeat of the last game, only with people having different roles to see if they is a different outcome.
