CMMG lower with Noveske upper combined with a Daniel Defense Free floating 1913 quad rail, combined it from parts I had lying around. It's a really resilient rifle. Thirty rounder on a Saiga is amazing, definitely fun! Very nice. Some quality stuff there. And they still allow you to have all that fun in Cali?

Yeah, for now.
I still have a ton of the stamped 30 rounder steel magazines I got while active in the Army.
I generally don't get to bring out my fun accessories, suppressors, full round magazines and other "evil" features.

Just to give a sense of scale: each of the cushions you can see on the sofa are about two feet wide. It's a pretty beefy gun. Originally got it for part of my Star Wars Stormtrooper costume (one of the TKs that searched the Falcon in A New Hope was carrying one), but due to the receiver being a solid block of steel (how it was de-milled) it's far too heavy to carry around in costume. However, I can build an accurate replica (someday) out of lighter materials using it as a template, and it is a neat piece of history to own.

To take a photo of yourself to post here? When I was younger I lived on a farm, and we had a decent collection of .303, .202, and .22 rifles to kill all the foxes and such with. And a double barrel shotgun I barely remember because I wasn't allowed to shoot it. It exploded rabbits with the right shells. All I have now is a collection of various stabbing implements I've collected that aren't worth photographing. Until I pick up a ceremonial infantry sword sometime in the next few months

My job before I trained as a Paramedic. The long is an M21. It's basically just like an Isreali Galil, or a South African R4. Like a 5.56 version of an AK47. Great weapon. I spent nearly a year using it and never ever had one stoppage. Attached to the fore-stock with zip-ties is a high powered green laser. Just to let folks know whats pointing at them. Mounted on top is an early issue US Army ACOG. The best sight for the open desert with its huge, great big long fields of fire. My side is a CZ99. Almost exactly like a Sig 226. Again, great weapon. Of course the weapon of choice is Duski. A High Velocity, 30 Kg, sweat-seeking weapon. A delivery system for several hundred foot pounds of "bite-and-won't-let-go". Basically a hairy smart missile with bad breath. But that was four years ago. All I have left is the photo and the ACOG.

Just in case there's any here who like antiques. It's a Colt that was made or proofed in London. It was found in a bombed building by a kid during the Blitz. I ended up with it (I wasn't the kid who found it, i'm not quite that old). It has only five chambers, is single action. The lever extended underneath drives a plunger that packs the charge and bullet in. The Iphone4 is for scale. they didn't have them in the 1800's. London proof mark, Serial number 6997. It's somewhere between a .32 and .38 but it's hard to tell. There's an engraving around the cylinder of a stagecoach hold up with the hero shooting dead a couple of highwayman causing the others to flee thereby saving the beautiful young traveling companion. I imagine that later that day she "put-out" for him. If anyone can tell me a bit about it I'd be grateful.

So got my AR build almost done. Upper is complete save for some iron sights and some form of optics. Also would like to get a forward grip of some kind, leaning towards the magpul angled grip. I already have a nice sure fire light I can mount (not in picture) then just to get some rail covers to go on any unused real estate as they are actually quite sharp and machined very well. And then there's my day to day carry, the Glock 19! Got a nice IWB holster for it, but need to get a better belt as no mater how tight I fasten it, it sags after just a few minutes.

*Russian accent* "Mosin Nagant. I haz one nao." This is my rifle! There are many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many like it, but this one is mine! Just acquired this today. *Private Pyle voice* "Seven. Point. Six. Two. Millimeter. Full. Metal. Jacket." And here's what feeds it. And accessories: Pig-sticker, tools, and whatever the hell that greasy double headed tin flask thingy is...

Cool. I've been able to determine the following about my Mosin Nagant M91/30: It's definitely a hybrid rifle as the barrel and receiver are early production type, with a hex style receiver, and were produced in 1931 at the Tula factory. However, the stock and remaining furniture appear to be of a late/post-War type, based on the slots for the sling and the nose cap, and the barrel bands are of the split type that were put into use in 1932 and later.
The bayonet doesn't fit the rifle at all, and bears a completely different serial number from the rest of the numbers I found when I tore the gun apart for its initial cleaning. It jams on the barrel with a good half inch to go before the locking slot on the lug can engage with the front sight assembly, and I had to use a block of wood and a hammer to get it back off (and this was even after giving it a shot of lubricant).
The front sight appears to be of the pre-War refurbishment type, while the rear sight appears to be a hybrid: pre-War refurbishment attachment style, but with a War-era slide on an early-style leaf.

My buddy has a post-War Yugoslavian manufactured Kar98K (genuine Commie-Nazi rifle!). I may get one eventually, but I think I'm more interested in getting an M1 Garand first, because they are becoming harder to find--even the Korean war ones, which I've been told sellers are running out of sources for--and I'd like to have one of those first. Also, that way I won't be completely cloning my friend's gun collection. To celebrate the acquisition of the Mosin Nagant I just picked up this: I'm not a huge fan of vodka, but I recall from my 20's that Three Olives Cherry was palatable. The bottle just went into the freezer to become properly cold before the tasting.

Thanks Chem! Reading through the instruction booklet that was in the box with the rifle (which has amusing examples of Engrish in it, such as gems like, "do not expose rifle to sudden extreme admixtures of air!") I've determined that that flask is likely the lube pot with two different types of lubricants contained within two separate chambers in it, along with two different brushes that are built into the caps. Needless to say I will not be opening either side of that tin...

Yeah, from what I can find one side held a solvent for breaking the corrosive residue of the ammunition used, and the opposite for oil.

Yeah, I'm going to be shooting modern non-corrosive rounds for the foreseeable future. But I will be picking up bulk surplus ammunition at some point, and my buddy who also has a Mosin has found on one of the owner forums that shooting Windex down the barrel is the best solution for clearing out corrosive residue if one wants to quickly clean the rifle without doing a full cleaning after shooting.
