Hey Guys, I was looking at my unused Chaos Cultist's ealier, and realised just how much they look like Bandit types... And I've been contemplating trying something with a few friends to see how it worked. I'm thinking of making a Post-Zombie Apocolypse, Roleplaying, Tabletop, Miniatures Game.. Thats right! A PZARTMG! The game is set in a City in 2032. The player's start out using a Survivor, a Single Miniature, equipped as depicted. Each player start's in a Randomly Generated part of the City. They can move one Grid Square per turn, and as they move, they can choose to use an Action on the square. Hunting, Looting, or Rescuing. Hunting, is the main Combat Elemant of the game, it will be very 40k Based. But screw Unit Cohercy basically. Every model is an IC prety much. Looting, find better gear basically, aswell as Supplies to survive, IE, food and water. Rescuing, everyone gets lonley, so go findsome buddies If you opt for this, you have a chance of saving a Survivor to join your band of Heroes. Depending on how you roll, depends on how good the survivor you get is. PvP is a Viable option, but, friendships can be made... And broken. The game Ends when all Survivor's Parties are Dead, or in Alliance with one another. This isn't by any means the finished article. This is just a breif overview of the Concept. Please let me know what you think! Cheers, Dave

It needs a better success criteria than everyone dies maybe assign mission points to certain things like liberate a hospital for 5 points, find a survivor for 2 then lose for deaths or panic and have a win figure like 100? Or just keep it ongoing until you get bored Also you might get some ideas from die2nite if that browser game is still going.

Have you thought about different types of enemy's? Zombie dogs, or mutant type zombies? Give players something to worry about, and bigger challenges as their character improves. Goals will be the key to keep people interested. Surviving being the main one. But mission objectives, like as you said hunting for food should effect players if successful or not. Look at gorkamorka and necromunda for character advancements. Also, if you want a hand writing this up i am free

I took your input into consideration, and decided that you two at least should help me do this Its a lot to ask, but, this could be fun..... I also think making a Character Progresson system, like suggesed by Soap I beleive? I knoiw the basic outline of Necromunda's, andI beleiveit wouldbetheonly way to look at surviving long. We could essentially do this as Necromunda with a Huge Ass twist It wouldbeso simpleto get a basic game up and running, we could even do an online version, and just hope no one cheats. I also think anyone at all on the board who wishes to partake in some sort of Game should make up a Character. And also provideth a Picture of their Survivor.Now.. I have an Idea of putting in an Additional challenge; After a certain ammount of turns, a player of Random Choice, enters play using a Platoon of Special Forces Soldiers, with orders to contain the infection and any unkown's that may be infected.. How they carry out their Command, is the players choice. I myself am thinking of playing a SWAT Sniper. Model at the ready Dave

Okay, I've had a rummage around upstair's and turned up a few potential models. I have my Sniper, and a Motley asortmet of Survivor's, which I'd like to propose as possible Character's to Rescue. But to start, my Character; SWAT Marksmen Andrew Harding: Andrew started his career in the Marine Corps, seeing two tours of duty in the Middle East before he was 22. While in the Middle East, he earned the Medal of Honour, for turning back to save a General from a would be 'Freedom Fighter'. During his second tour, near the end, his patrol was out on foot, and the were ambushed. Only him and his Spotter survived. After that Tour, both baught there way out of the Corps and became Police Officer's. Both men only being 21, and highly decorated men, saw them rise to great potential. It wasn't long until the duo were inducted into the SWAT as Marksmen and Spotter. The pair were at ground Zero, two of the few to escape the onslaught. And a few Character proposal: Sergeant Lina Vasquez: Sergeant Lina Vasquez of the National Guard is pretty awsome. Shotgun, decent armour. And also, that Lina was a Medic, and sill has quite a lot of suplies, she has the capability, depending on here level, heal so many wounds per turn. SWAT Officer Ian Boone: A former Marine Scout Sniper Spotter, turned SWAT Marksman Team Spotter. Present at Ground Zero, they were seperated and have not made contact since. He comes with an Assault Rifle and the ability to let you re-roll 1 failed roll to hit per turn, if within maybe 6". Jenny Palmer: A Highschool Girl who some survived the massacre around her and also picked up an SMG... Not a bad choice. She's very trigger happy and has a very high rate of fire. Sara Conrad: A Film Producer who was coincidentally filming a Zombie Movie. When the Undead attacked, she took the real movie props, and took to the streets, kicking ass with a .50 Cal Revolver and a Hand Scythe. SWAT Officer Oliver Martin: A SWAT Officer and explosives expert. Armed with a Grenade Launcher and Armour, this guys gets stuff done. No one would complan about the guy, I'm sure. And.. Last but not least... The Rook: A Mysterious man said to be at the Junkyard. Reports say he is a very well built, bald headed man, with some bad ass kit, and the attitude to match. The ultimate Zed Shredder. Big ass chainsaw, welding mask, lump hammer, spanner. This guy gives you a bunch of perks, and is the hardest to get, but, probably to be the most powerful character to be in the game . Just a proposal.
