I hope they're not $12 a piece there. Anyway, went bowling for the first time in years, and didn't do too badly considering I've walked for just short of 12 hours today. The one arcade game place had half a floor filled with retro cabinets. This is just one example.

I go stand on tall things. I'll be standing on another one today, although if it keeps raining, I cancel that plan. No point in getting a better view of clouds.

The new season of "Continuum" kicks off tonight. Do you want an update on what happens, or shall I not spoil it for you?

I recorded it as well, but didn't watch it live. Apparently the episode was supposed to air in mid-March, but SyFy pushed it back to last night for some reason...

PB seems to think I've hit a bandwidth limit. No more pics until I get them onto Flickr or something.

Req; why not just get a second email address and a second PB account?

That would be more work, since I already have a Flickr account. I just have to put vacation pics on there.

He's already Stateside again, apparently. I found out when I was going to tell him to go buy a leather jacket and try to infiltrate their club.

Picking up where we left off, here's a few shots from Sapporo Factory. There's some good Indian food in my area, but this tops all of that. I was walking through Sendai when I realized that we don't have any super-awesome signage in the US. Again, Japanese oysters are massive. Japanese toothpicks also seem to be bigger. Like, in metric, toothpicks are bigger or something. A couple of cool islands from Mastushima. Special sake that's up around 40-something% ABV. Soooo good. And ~$12 for this shot. That was the most expensive meal I've ever participated in in my life. I took friends out to dinner in a fancy, traditional Japanese restaurant. Related note: whale is freakin' delicious, and you Aussies just be jellin'. Yamadera! Most excellent scenery, commence! Touring a sake brewery. The name of this brewery translates to "Man Mountain." God, I love Japan. This place doesn't even export out of their town, so no chance of you trying this at home. Yes, I did get to try some right out of the vat-in-the-ground. Yes, it was most excellent. Because of regulations, it has to be watered down to a specific ABV before bottling. This is before that. I am a booze bandito. I'm 92.5% sure this is in Shiogama, the area that got pulverized by the earthquake/tsunami in 2011. It still looks like a disaster area. That school on the news that had people helicoptering off of it is in the background. The yellow flags represent a desire of the former locals to have the area rebuilt so they can move back. That plaque on the right is a list of the local people who died. Age of death is included. It's hard to look at that thing and see entire families wiped-out with a young couple and a four- and two-year old. I was walking around with a milk tea, but it felt like it would have been outright disrespectful to take a sip during this entire trip in this area. Ending on happier notes, here's a 3D printing shop that will only cost you all your money, but they could make working, moving piece constructions for you. And the next MI6 agent to serve the queen will be... Japanese? At least he or she will be good at a darts.

Some really good pictures there, Requiem.
I particularly liked the red statue at Yamadera. Was it from inside a Buddhist temple?
The gardens and caverns in the US look amazing as well. Luray caverns looks like a superhero lair or something. Look at all those stalactites!

The statue has a buddy, who is in a much more concealed room. Together, they protect you at birth and at death. (I think. Translation on the exact nature of these guys was a little uncertain.) The mountainside of Yamadera is a Buddhist temple, and one of the coolest mountain temples.
Luray renewed my interest in buying a decommissioned missile silo to turn into a house.

No idea. But then I'd have to live in Washington state. I don't like the rain. Terrestrial weather is of no concern to the Lord of the Silo. Alternatively, shoot missiles at the clouds. Give those nimbus bastards what-for for raining on your parade.

Can I no longer change the thread title? Anyway, this isn't from a vacation, since I now live in Japan. I thought I'd share this with you.
