Hello All,
I've been away for a while and finally got around to getting the new Codex! Just had a few questions I wanted to run buy you guys and "TheoryHammer" a little bit.
I want to confirm two minor details. Just to confirm Senior and Junior officers have the same order range now correct? And, no need to do Senior Officers first now?
Now for discussion, how do you guys feel about the new orders? How is the new "Bring It Down!" working for you? (I have yet to play a game with the new book and I miss twin linking heavy weapon squads.)
I would assume the Splitfire order to be pretty powerful, with the pinning order and precision order to be highly situational. Cant wait to try the one that ignores cover too!
I'm considering running Storm Trooper squads and command squads to get some FRFSRF hot-shots mid/back field, or. Has anyone done this with success?
On a complete side note. With the loss of Marbo, I'm considering running Harker too, any reviews on his performance?
Thanks guys!

In order: - Yes - Yes - They're superior in just about every way - You can still do the twin-linking by taking Primaris Psykers and giving them the Prescience power (although that might be less reliable with 7th edition around the corner) - Split Fire isn't as powerful as you think - The Pinning order is fun when given to a PCS with four flamers and the Precision Shots order is downright scary when issued to a 50-man Conscript blob - Ignores Cover is absolutely vital for taking on skimmers - Not that I know of - Harker is the same cost as before, but only gets a Relentless Heavy Bolter with Rending instead of anything useful
Helpful?

Very! Great thanks.
The Psykers would be usefull but not really my style. I'm more of a bullets bombs kinda guy.
I could see precision shooting a platoon at a squad to drown an HQ or special weapon in wounds.
No a bad Idea with the PCS and 4 flamers. I run that setup to shut down counter charges.
Thanks for the tip regarding Ignores cover to my Autocannons to shoot down Skimmers/bikes. Wow, or with a demo charge......
Once I test out the Storm Trooper PCS to get orders in their backfieled I'll let ya'll know. Their Vox special rules looks interesting too.
The Harker question was more about what the heck do I do with my custom Marbo model I worked so hard on =(
-Cheers

I too am sad face about the loss of Marbo. Not a game winner but definitely a fun way to change the complexion of the game. I suspect he will make a reappearance in a dataslate or maybe a Catachan sup.

So I've been away for a while and haven't got the new dex. They got rid if Marbo? What the hell? Why? WHY? Hello, Paradill. Welcome back, by the way. It was rumoured that Marbo would be coming out in a separate supplement, probably codex : Catachans. It would make no sense for there to be an existing model but no rules. They also got rid of Penal squads, probably because: a) Kids shouting out the name every 10 seconds b) Victoria Lamb made a decent kit c) No existing models Going by this and the fact that Doom of Malantai was dropped from the new nid codex, it seems anything without existing models is getting dropped.
