I'm sorry toughness what?
I was wondering how people use their guard to deal with wraithknights?
Cheers

Lately I am always using a 4 sniper PCS. Cheap and useful. The CCS order to get Monster Hunter helps a lot too.
Also standard lasscanons work wonders.

Use a large blob squad with a commissar. Tie him up in close combat for a couple of turns and deal with everything else. That's the only way I found to counter them.

Ratlings, backed by a commissar so they take orders well and a ccs with snipers using that monster hunter order
14 shots 3s to hit 4s to wound with reroll AP2 on a six to wound
I'm sure someone can mathhammer that, all for under 200pts
Plus its great watch one of the smallest models in the game nail one of the biggest.

It is wrong that those things aren't considered walkers

Now they're Gargantuan most of the old tactics have had to go out of the window... tarpitting leaves you vulnerable to stomp attacks. Sniper is ineffective. Pask with a Punisher can throw out a decent amount of rending wounds but the current favourite for me is Pask in an Executioner with sponsons, hull mounted las and another two tanks spec'd the same. Throw in an allied inquisitor (or two) with rad grenades. Grav-chute in from a 'detta. Throw rad-grenades. That GC is now T7 and much more vulnerable to the plasma/las combos.
I face Eldar once a week and have tried most approaches I can think of - this is the best I've found.

They are pretty op now. The new elder codex is actually putting me off the game. Nercons were silly but this elder codex is stupid. Kinda killing the game for me.
The inquisitor idea is a great one thou.

I realised last night that the rad grenades don't work on the inquisitor. My time playing Ravenwing has me used to being able to use them in the shooting phase - unfortunately grenades only work for 1 assault phase on an inquisitor.
Back to the drawing board.

Demovets with a priest are pretty effective at taking them down. However getting them into combat without losing too many is a right pain.
