Walrus! How's life, man? Recently I got tempted by Dark Angels but ... nah! I'm not redoing my Gladius or adding any more armies to the painting schedule. Are you using the formation system instead of the CAD? Chemin: Empty has useful experience of ebay, I think he found it a good time for buyers as most people are trying to sell old stuff to raise funds for buying new stuff. I think January is when most people are skint so wait until February or march if you have the option. Thanks, Tread. This makes sense. I think I can wait till February.

So I know Mel, Cosmic, and Paimon are playing Rainbow Six: Siege. Who else is? Because damn, it's fun.

Are you using the formation system instead of the CAD? Life's going good mate! I've got myself a nice house, nice car, and a better job (so more money for my plasticrack relapse ). How's things on your end? I've finally managed to get all my stuff painted besides my dark vengeance stuff and some vanguard veterans so I can focus on tabletop! Speaking of tabletop, I'm using CAD at the moment. We've got a 500 point per player doubles tournament coming up at my FLGS so I'm keeping it simple... But once that's out of the way it'll be demi company in drop pods and deathwing reception force for a turn one/turn 2 double whammy > Today, the lightning that was forecast for 3 nights ago has finally come in and killed the foxtel in the minesite accommodation... On the only night I want to stay up and watch shark week! I feel like Tzeench is playing games with me...

Tzeentch never apologises unless its part of a magic spell. Such as Kolin's Undead Legion. How's things on your end? I just got 10 of those mk 4 marines from a bitz site and ten more mk 7 legs. Yeah; the battle company gladius is for high points. Mine is usually 2k minimum but it shines better at 2750with a 1st company taskforce on top of the armoured taskforce and anti-air squadron. Apart from the vets its mainly a tankfest with lascannons everywhere. It's also a different army to my normal one, which has no tanks anymore, but they might have a storm talon hidden away. My other army didn't have enough lascannons to deal with a Stompa but the gladius has managed to take one out once, out of two games. DA are good; what with stubborn on the basic marines so they get no morale modifiers and the boost to overwatch.

DA are good; what with stubborn on the basic marines so they get no morale modifiers and the boost to overwatch. Nobody really uses fliers in my area so it's not exactly a concern for me, but there is an over abundance of Imperial nights, Wraith knights, and obscenely big bugs that come out at higher point games... Free las/plas razorbacks are my friends! Interommancy is good fun to go alongside crazy overwatch and stubborn marines; some nasty debuffs and witchfires makes my librarians surprisingly good character/big nasty hunters.... My tau buddy runs a lot of battlesuits with twin linked missile pods and flamers (Farsight enclaves is a female dog), and he regularly cries when my big squad of assault marines with attached Chaplain and Librarian trap him in a corner, makes them ws/bs 1 and denies their over watch. Yes, I can be a horrible person Today I'm headed home from the most mind-numbingly boring swing on the mines I've had. Although pay day is tomorrow, so Christmas will be tomorrow for me... Ah the joys of working Christmas day!

Interromancy looks great. Actually you need to use psykers for quick and easy VPs for the Maelstrom missions. Caught myself looking up 'Ezekiel' on ebay; it's actually available quite cheap in metal.
Never fought against DA and they always disappear whenever I'm around. This will change if I make those ten mk4 marines into fallen angels. I've already got a few of those DA shoulder pads leftover and.. already separated the parts.
You're too late, Dark Angel players. The Fallen will rise again.

I've not played any maelstrom missions yet, for some reason my mates aren't keen on them. Yeah I dunno either, but eternal war is pretty fun anyway.
That sort of heresy will pull us out of the woodwork; any true DA player won't refuse you a fight if you mention fallen amongst your army!
Today I picked up a few thousand points worth of Blood Angels and Imperial Fists for $350AUD. I've sat them up on my back table and keep looking back every few minutes to see if they're actually there and my (extremely sleep deprived) brain isn't playing tricks on me. The guy I got them off has done a fair bit of conversion work around army, including 2 custom librarians, a terminator holding the book from sammaels jet bike out in front of him as he swings (READ IT AND WEEP, HERETIC), a full command squad with jump packs... And a squad of 9 sternguard with 7 custom combi-meltas!
If I died right now I would join the Emperor a happy man

That's the thing about ebay and marines; its usually a bargain for the buyer because of oversupply. Sold off my Word Bearers with metal pads, chaos warrior helmets and really cool customised banners/ icons waaaaay too cheaply, years ago. Sounds like you got a bargain within a bargain; both those armies are fun to play. I use IF tactics (obviously) and the bolter rerolls and devastator boosts are great. Doubly so for heavy bolter devastators shooting at trukks. Actually I hate the Fallen angels; they are false Imperials who follow chaos without knowing it. I just need some for target practise for my loyalist, historical Soul Drinkers, only for house games/ friendlies. Also only one squad and they'll be more fun to paint in black and will contrast with the other CSM squad who are all muties, without helmets, in pastel colours. The Fallen will look OK, I reckon, all with helmets in the mk 4 armour. I just don't know whether to use the modern sickle-pattern bolters or the archaic bolters from the HH kit. Thoughts?

Wasn't even ebay, just a guy who didn't want them any more from the FLGS it really is a bargain though, I feel the Emperor was at work bringing me more forces to crush His enemies. The fluff on the Fallen is pretty interesting; from the ones who fall to a specific god, to the ones that try to hide and live a normal life (which normally fails due to a space marines inability to be so plebeian). And then there's Cypher... Oh man, the more and more he is mentioned the more intrigued I get. Working from the shadows, always with his own agenda, but yet helping Dark Angels even as they try to strike him down. You have Soul Drinkers?? Do you have them as a loyalist chapter or as mutated, excommunicated but still loyal to the Emperor? The fallen would make for good target practice, but they should be firing back with a mixture of their archaic bolters and ones they've stolen from modern Marines

It's weird; Cypher always comes as a friend but causes huge damage to the Unforgiven every time.
Do you use Ravenwing? One thing I like in the new codex is the ravenwing CAD chart.
Yeah : I'm collecting the old chapter, roughly, 39th millennium. My pics are on page 3 of the picture board now, but they're all over the After Action Reports.
There's one or two differences (as laid out in the Daenyathos novella); they don't use scouts at all, unlike the later renegades. Early SD novitiates are more like squires, who look after wargear of an older marine and write a Chanson, detailing their life. - no dreadnoughts
- not much terminator armour - I've only got 5 termies so far

Thats actually really damn cool... I don't have nearly enough bikes or land speeders for ravenwing, but all I need is a land speeder or 3 and I'll have a mean triwing force! Today everything that possibly could have gone wrong, did. To add insult to injury my works worst worker stooped to his newest, useless low... And the Mongolia gets a dollar an hour less than me On the plus side I'm set up for a whole bunch of free food and alcohol from my other job for the Christmas shindig, and then a 1000 points a player doubles game afterward for the FLGS final meet of the year... The other guys play vanilla marines, Imperial Guard with too many psykers, and a Green tide. We're rolling for sides when we get there. This calls for STEEL REHN!

Let's just say that this is the first Star Wars movie (not counting the Special Edition) since 1983 that watches like a Star Wars movie.

I got back from seeing "The Force Awakens" about an hour ago. It was excellent. J.J. has exceeded my wildest expectations, and it's now my favorite Star Wars film. It just edged "The Empire Strikes Back" off of the throne by a whisker. TFA I'd give 7 out of 5 stars, whilst TESB is 6.99999999999999999999999999999(endless repeat). If Disney doesn't screw things up, they've got a license to print money now...

Disney has been printing money for a while. He's right. The symbol of capitalism is basically a overly-litigious anthropomorphic mouse in short pants.
