Hi,
I was wondering if the words which are swapped into place of swear words are options chosen by mods?
My main thought was that we should be referencing imperial dialect or guard slang such as 'fething'.
I do like the use of Nuts as it has historical reference to the battle of bastogne.
thoughts?

Red and Blue mods are the ones who can access and change that list. I'd shoot Woz a PM, since he's on pretty frequently these days.

The idea was to discourage people from using bad language. If people want to type "fething" then they can.

I think it's hilarious, and enjoy when 'bad language' is picked out of the middle of other words.

I've been for getting rid of it since time immemorial. We have mods to deal with childish swearing, but I hardly see why a bit of profanity is a problem. If you're into 40K, a few f's and bastard's are hardly an issue.

Doesn't bother me but if you trawl through GW's legal blurb there's a part that says that any website / forum that is about any of their their products then you have to take into account that children may be reading.
Don't want the forum closing down because some angry parents have complained to GW.
My nephew was eight when he got into 40k. He went on lots of 40k sites/forums with my brother watching and any site that he found unsuitable got blocked.
Anyone who feels they can't have a conversation without swearing should think about going somewhere else.

It encourages more creative word choices.
