G'day all,
A work mate and I are playing a game on Sunday with no Lords of War being thrown in the mix. This is my current list however there is 100pts that I am still flexible with:
HQ
-CCS: LC, MoO, Carapace
-CCS: LC, MoO
-2xCommissars (For guard blobs)
-3xPrimarius Psykers: Lvl II
-1xPriest (For Lasgun/Flamer blob)
TROOPS
-PCS
-20xGuardsmen: 2xFlamer
-PCS: Mortar
-20xGuardsmen: 2xLC, 2xFlamer
-10xVeterans: 3xFlamers, Shotguns, Carapace, Chimera
-10xVeterans: 3xFlamers, Shotguns, Carapace, Chimera
-10xVeterans: 3xMelta, Shotguns, Carapace, Chimera
-10xVeterans: 3xPlasma, Carapace, Valkyrie (LC)
FAST ATTACK
-Vendetta
-Vendetta
-Vulture Gunship: Punisher Cannons
HEAVY SUPPORT
-Basilisk
-Exterminator: MM Sponsons, LC
-LRMBT
2500pts
I don't know what my mate will be fielding but have a general scheme of manoeuvre already formulated:
CCS #1 and 20xMan blob w/LCs buff themselves with orders and two Psykers.
CCS #2 also occupies deployment zone and buffs itself with orders.
20xGuardsmen Blob with Commissar and Priest advance through cover and attack an enemy unit that has been softened by the Basilisk.
Vendettas and Exterminator target key enemy vehicles or high toughness units (My Flyers will obviously try to take out his Flyers first).
Vulture Gunship to target Cultists or Daemons.
LRMBT to target power armour.
Mechanised Vets to punch forward, contest objectives and draw fire.
Valk Vets to gain line breaker and target any Obliterators or Havocs. Most of my friends are usually very aggressive and leave little in their own deployment zone
The remaining Psyker will either buff the Basilisk or advance behind one of the Russes.
I have contemplated dropping the two MoOs, Priest and PCS w/Mortar which would give me a total of 100pts to play with. Thoughts?
