is there a way to make the mechandrites look like eagles heads? Doesn't the Imperial Knight kit have a bunch of tiny eagle heads that are stuck on the ends of some of the beams? Those might be the right size. Not sure If she needs them though: it's a great looking model as is.

is there a way to make the mechandrites look like eagles heads? Maybe. I don't know what kit would have eagle heads of the right size, sadly. Certainly nothing I have. is there a way to make the mechandrites look like eagles heads? I'll look through the GW range. Maybe elfs... Anyway, shooty deathbot.

I did a test paint of one of my rangers, and went with something slightly different for the scheme. I wanted something more muted because A) my ranger teams are my dedicated snipers, and B) I'm going to run them in a Stygies detachment, which inflicts a BS penalty when being shot at from over 12in away. I figured that wouldn't match well with bright red.

Looking good. You could try incorporating something red, in order to tie them together with the rest of the force.

I like the muted colours for them. With the old timey looking rifle, it almost looks like a wild west robot.

The eagle heads on the backpack are too big, sadly. Those claws are pretty tiny, smaller than a guardsman's head. Looking good. You could try incorporating something red, in order to tie them together with the rest of the force. I thought about that, but there's not much on the model I could paint red. The pants would make the most sense, but they don't look fantastic with that shade of brown. It's hard to tell because of the pose, but the backpack and torso armor are the same scheme as the vanguard, so it looks like they traded in the red robes for a hooded leather duster. That said, it's still not as unifying as having red on the model somewhere. If I was confident in being able to paint a neat straight line, I'd add one to the outer edges of the cloak. I'm open to other suggestions though. I like the muted colours for them. With the old timey looking rifle, it almost looks like a wild west robot. I feel like it wouldn't look out of place in Fallout: New Vegas or something. Those rifles are a joy to paint, I really love them.

Have you thought about dropping the blue lenses and use red lenses? Is it a belt the model has, if so perhaps some red on the belt?

Those are some nice looking sniperbots If you do end up wanting to mix some red in there; maybe you can do the inside of the cloaks? wouldn't take up to much of the mini, and not that much of a hassle.

Quick Gemina Superia to go with Celestine. It's not especially coggy, but it'll do, especially when painted in the same scheme.

Cool miniature: I don't think it has to be extra coggy, between the robes and the head.. she'll fit right in.

Inaugurating my new Imgur account with a WiP basilisk. I haven't painted a vehicle in forever, so I forgot how fiddly they could be.

Cool contraption is that the missile launcher from the space marine anti-air tank? Good spot. I pulled it off the Rhino since I have way too much AA anyway, it was cheaper than buying a FW Solar Auxilia basilisk to match aesthetically with the russes (plus I get a spare rhino out of the deal).

She needs some tiny cog work pinned covering the joint's of her wings. Maybe some extra bits from a watch maker's kit or some loose gears from your local jeweler or watch maker. Just a final touch suggestion, fascinating kit bash.
