Speaking about theft, don't you just laugh at the anti-piracy adverts at the beginning of DVD's.... 'You wouldn't steal a handbag'.......a thief would 'You wouldn't steal a car'........well a car thief would You wouldn't put a plastic bag over your grandma's head, would you? Did I steal the plastic bag first?

@orren: I agree with you mostly.
I never deprive a company of anything though. If I would never pay for it in the first place then what profit are they losing? And I am making a copy of it. They still possess the original.
All the things I pay for, some of those are tools. There is nothing inherently wrong in using tools to acquire things. And if I am better at finding things then they are at hiding them should I not reap a benefit for my skill? Wall street is based entirely on this paradigm.
It could almost be argued that since I can spend less than an hour online to find Batman Begins 'free' that it shouldn't be for sale to begin with. If you bought a copy of it at the store it would cost: fuel, time, labor. If you 'stole' it online it will still cost: fuel(electricity), time, labor.
The difference is negligible.

While I agree to some extent, this is why IP is such a thing, and why these industries are going away.

While I agree to some extent, this is why IP is such a thing, and why these industries are going away. I agree also I just like playing Devil's Advocate. I doubt Lady Gaga or Justin Beiber are having trouble paying their bills though. That is the reality of it in my opinion. If a business owner didn't want their products stolen anymore they can always stop making them. So they must be turning enough of a profit for it to still be ...profitable.

Rook: Glad you saw my post before some tool deleted it. And copies are reproductions, thus falling under the rights to reproduce and distribute. Just saying though while technically illegal, it doesn't really matter to me.

This one time, I stole a seashell from the beach. The beach was like "No! That's mine!" then I kicked its own sand in its sand and ran off.

Today, the worst pickup line ever sprang forth from my brow:
"Hey baby, you a Fenrisian wolf? 'Cause I want to ride you into battle."
I am going to phone Makarova and say this to her RIGHT NOW. Trololol.

So they must be turning enough of a profit for it to still be ...profitable. That may not even be true for famous people. And for me, I'd come down on someone so hard and so fast that GW's legal team would take notes.

And for me, I'd come down on someone so hard and so fast that GW's legal team would take notes. They have the right to all the cash their song generates. Absolutely. As per the contract I suppose. I just don't think Justin or Lady are 'suffering'. Let me rephrase that; I don't think they could prove to the common man the punitive damage from such 'theft'. "My Don Perignon warmed by one degree and is now undrinkable because my business manager distracted me about the $17.00 I just lost. The agony."

They already have all my records, so I don't really care. If TimeWarner really wants to press charges on me for something I did two years ago, and don't even have/have access to anymore, they can go ahead and try. I doubt anybody takes the time to read over every single post on every single forum on the internet.
You could've even just deleted the second paragraph, and left the first, or deleted the part where I 'incriminated' myself instead of deleting all of it.

He should have deleted the "Princess of Ponies" beneath your avatar. That is infinitely more incriminating.

You know you could have used C. Thomas Howell as an avatar.
You BETTER know who I'm referring to when I say that name.

Today....Well more accurately, somewhat recently, I was accused of being an anti-semitic, and being religiously insensitive.
Because of my username, KaikelX.
What.

I'm kind of bummed out that req's avatar is back to normal. Personally it was disturbing but it was outright hilarious.

........ Oh, and could you put up the method you mentioned earlier, for making new characters? I will today or tomorrow. I need to actually give it a proper outline first. And the term they're probably accusing you of using is "Kike", which I think has been out of even uncommon usage since the 50s. Reds
