Good luck on your test! Today, I get to spend 8 hours doing a clinical at an ambulance service that rarely gets any calls. Which means 8 hours of doing nothing. Which is boring. Damn you powers that be! I feel your pain, I start my clinical this week as well, going to the ER first, 12 hours then two 24hrs shifts with the ambulance.

Today I have the first of my big tests... one one hand I'm happy to be getting them done, on the other hand, I"m totally not feeling ready... Good luck, FFE! What class is the test for?

I will say that both Reds and Gen Armstrong run a VERY good roleplay.
I just couldn't keep up in Reds because of work and the fact that I don't know the 40k universe that well. And they all type so fornicateing fast! Like fast, fast really fast.
Armstrong's is a play by post which works well.
@orren and FFE: Good luck you two. I doubt you need it but hey...

Today was decent. The first 2 hours was spent on standby at a fire scene. It was cool watching the house burn, and seeing how they put the fire out, but it was really a shame. Not only the fact somebody lived there, but the fact the house was from 1836, which is really old for a building by American standards. Yes, I know, it really isn't that old compared to many European places. It was a beautiful house. Then we got a priority call for somebody who had a stroke. The rest of the day was spent watching Fox News for 3 hours (I believe my IQ went down significantly) and CSI for 1 1/2 hours.
@jackal: You a paramedic student then? I'm only a basic. (EMT) We were scheduled for 12 hour shifts everywhere first, which I liked, but then he changed them to 8 hour shifts.

Today.... well.... I have done possibley the most ridiculous thing ever.... Me and a couple of friends wer messing about. Tom had a can of pepsi. He drank it and threw it at me. I picked it up and ripped it apart.... I swear that this is the truth. I looked down and in slow motion saw the jagged edge of the can cut across the base of my thumb in the palm of my hand in slow motion. Within about 20 seconds my hand was a nice shade of crimson. Josh proceeded to faint while Tom laughed at Josh's reaction. All I did.... Made a 20 min trip back to my house and used super glue to patch it up..... Yay for being a 40k player and having unorthadox methods of dealing with injuries But I learned a valuable lesson.... Pepsi cans are cold blooded killers and I had a lucky escape.... Watch out for pepsi cans guys.... They will claim someones life one day.... and i'll say.... "I warned people....But did they listen"?

Hahaha, I love it. I've sliced my finger before, but didn't think to use glue to stop the bleeding. It was more afterwards because I still had the cut on a really annoying spot and couldn't play guitar without opening it back up. So I glued it up to give a nice sheet of super glue so I could still play

The worst I have done to myself is stab my finger while playing that stupid knife game, I still have the scar from that and fall down a flight of stairs, have a scar on my lip because of that too.

Clearly superglue could've saved you as well, Armstrong. If you glued the bottoms of your shoes you would've had much better traction and not have fallen!

Well... whilst oncrutches, my sister who is 10 years younger than me decided she didnt want to wait any longer behind me while I was going down stairs. So she came up with a clevel theory.... 'Remove the crutches.... remove the obsticle' Safe to say... I hit the floor at the bottom of the stairs pretty damn hard. But no perminent damage was caused from that. I have stabbed myself in the leg with a hobby knife before (modelling mishap). Superglue was the answer. I've been hit by a smart car travelling at 30MPH...... It came off worse than I did. In all fairness..... I am a fountain of ridiculous injuries that are rather amusing Maybe one day I'll write a book about them Anyhow, its late and I need my Ugly sleep.... see you all tomorrow, and Armstrong.... Great work on the Role play I think I've got my head around things now. Can't wait to see how my theory unfolds Dave

I hope all of you managed to deal with your days ok with tests and other crap going on. My day was annoying to go through and then i have to go to sleep and do it all over again when i wake up.
@orren: That response made me laugh for some reason. It's like one of those stupid movies where the terrorist rigs the keyboard for you to type at a certain speed per minute or the place blows up.
Today i started work for the week and it went alright. I was fairly tired and slept when i got home. I guess i have a little bit of time for break. After that i sleep and do it all over again for the next 2 days. I found out i get paid 8 dollars a week and due to circumstances like not earning enough i may not even have to pay taxes out of my check which is actually pretty awesome. That would give me an extra 1.50 to 2 dollars per hour if true.
At work i talked to the guy from romania a lot. He was listening to some republican news radio and he told me later he was into it. It started making me upset listening to so i asked him to turn it off. I'm not really a fan of listening to politics as it generally makes me upset with all the anger or crap thrown one way or another. He found it important though and he mentioned he thinks that the U.S. is the greatest country in the world. He said in romania there's not a lot of opportunity (like jobs, etc.) and you're either really rich or really poor with no real in between. Then he goes on to say that his families often have to live together in the same house because they don't have the money. He also said when he retires he may go back to romania. I told him that might not be good to wait so long to see family because you don't know what the future can bring and you don't know what might happen to them (since my mom died fairly unexpectedly). He said that's why his mom visited him (she's 80 something) because he doesn't know how long she's going to live and probably doesn't have too much longer. He told me he's about 37-38 years old when i asked him his age. His father supposedly died a year after he moved to the U.S. like 12-15 or so years ago. Other than that we talked about politics and he mentioned that he was listening to the radio because he is against all this obama-care (the health care thing) and thinks it needs to go away and he doesn't think obama will be president next term. I then say to this that the bright side is at least he isn't allowed to have more than 2 terms as president.
I'm honestly disgusted with the whole political system currently. If ron paul had a chance i'd vote for him because he seems to understand things and have a good personality and character. Of course this isn't the perfect system so he's out of the race. I don't feel i know enough to vote for anybody currently but all the mudslinging and political bull nuts makes me upset. There's a lot of things i would rather do than listen to politicians smear the names of each other. As far as character went i wish ron paul was still in the race. I don't even know if he smeared anybody but i don't think so. At least for character and possible knowledge of what's needed he seemed like the right man for the job. Of course the only chance you've got is if you're democrat or republican and i hear he was an independent so they have no chance in hell currently at least for presidency.
Anyway that was my day.

True. But there are cooler things to re-enact. I used to do Viking. Much more fun. Lots of hitting people with swords and then drinking heavily.
