Dreamt about my mom dying again. Really sick of those dreams. Perhaps your subconscious are trying to tell you something?

Today, my back. I don't know what is wrong with it. It hurts to move. Hell, it hurts to just sit up, and I can only lie down on my side or stomach, because laying on my back hurts so bad, but even that still hurts a bit. Must find hot pack for relief.

@orren: Have someone jump up and down on it.
Today, I've been reading about what the Argentinians have been doing to try and get the Falklands back in the past few decades. It seems like they're being somewhat stupid about it...

One of my friends cracked my back earlier, though she didn't step on it like I usually have people do. It was awesome. My back as a whole felt better, but it only made the pain go away for a short time, then it came back, and then it got suddenly worse.

Try a shower with the water as hot as you can stand it and sit Indian style on the bottom of the shower and have it hitting the part of your back that hurts and then relax. Get as relaxed as you can. Imagine a nice place and just relax.

Today, I got my Forge World order. Yay!
The Ramilies Star Fort is huge. I'm looking forward to getting it together. Other than that I got a couple of hydras and some gothic freighters. Going to do a bit of basic work(like build the hydras' chimera hulls) before I get a dust mask tomorrow. Then I can start working on them properly.
Just watched Tangled. Now, I don't like a lot of Disney films but sometimes they can make really good ones. I was just talking earlier about how everyone likes The Lion King, for instance.

Rook: the exception to every rule. You are aware that the above sentence is a paradox, right? If Rook is the exception to every rule, then naturally he should be an exception to the rule that he is the exception to every rule, which means that he isn't an exception to every rule, except that he is-

Today, I went in to work early, had the back room pretty much all to myself, and had enough proper work that I didn't have to work on the Mailing List at all.
The weather's continuing fine, so I went for a rather nice walk, and now I'm settling in with a couple of delicious Chicken Burritos and a couple of Krystalweizen, waiting for the sun to go down so I can watch Buffy. A friend might be coming over to join me, but even if she doesn't make it, it's been a damn fine day.

I demand photos of the Ramilles, preferably with ships next to it for size comparisons, as soon as possible! *Lashes Trickstick* Well I plan to get it at least assembled in the next week or so. I'll have to borrow a camera and snap a few pictures. I don't know if I should concentrate on doing that or the hydras though. I've built the chimera bits of the two hydras (which took no time at all) but the resin will take longer. I suppose as the Ramilies is the centre point of our 7 player gothic campaign I should get it done for next Monday really. After all, it is supposed to be guarding a gateway to Terra. Which episode of Buffy did you watch Westrider?

So, after a liberal apllication of a heating pad, followed by a long hot shower (Thanks Rook), my back pain went away. For about 3 hours. Now it is back, and only goes away when I have the heating pad on it. About 5 minutes without it, and it starts to hurt again a bit.
If it is still bad tomorrow, I'll bug my dad about it or something.

Today is my first proper venture into the underhive, and I'm very scared.
@ Reds/hookah: Haha silly Argentines want oil and think it's a good idea to threaten a nation with vastly superior military to theirs.
@ Kommissar Orren: I know you said it hurts, but try lying flat on your back on the floor for a while. Perhaps after a heat pad/hot shower so the pain isn't so bad.

@ Reds/hookah: Haha silly Argentines want oil and think it's a good idea to threaten a nation with vastly superior military to theirs. What gets me is that the UK has repeatedly said "We'll let the islanders vote on it", and then the Argentinians decided the best way to act would be trying to economically strong-arm them into leaving the UK instead of, I don't know, trying to be nice to them and making a good case for themselves. It just mystifies me. Rook: I can see you having one of those as a pet... Reds

@orren:When you were performing your duties recently in the ambulance(to be honest I'm not certain what you were doing) you probably pulled a muscle. When you get older you can pull a muscle doing nearly anything. Give your body time to rest and just chill. Also, if you are overweight the gut pulls your spine forward and causes all sorts of problems.
Don't know if you are overweight Orren I'm just mentioning it. No offense of course.
In either case you will press on and have freedom from this malady.
If you are interested in strengthening the back I have some exercises you can do. Such as;
Lay on your stomach on the floor in the classic 'Superman' pose and raise your right arm and left leg off the floor and hold for a count of about 60 and alternate the other opposite set. This little exercise seems almost worthless until you do it for about 20 minutes and then the next day it feels like your lower back is made out of fornicateing bricks!
Don't worry Orren, with your age you will EASILY overcome this slight malady and prosper.

The funny thing is we tried to negotiate to share the oil, since it would be beneficial to everyone, but the Argies refused flat out, and then complain about us stealing oil and being all imperialist. You can't win with some people. Still they Argentines only complain about it when they have internal issues they are trying to distract from.

I am overweight, and no offense taken. My excess body insulation keeps me warm in winter months.
It isn't my lower back though, it is my upper back. I think it is centered between my left shoulder blade and spine. It might be the shoulder blade, or my shoulder muscles, though I have no idea would could've caused it. When the other students carried me during the extrication/triage training, they did carry me kind of awkwardly, so it could've been that I suppose.
I am sure it will go away in a few days. The one thing about being in an EMT class that sucks, is that you learn about diseases and stuff and their symptoms. So now when something simple like pain in the left shoulder happens, I go "Well, it could be referred pain, and my gallbladder is inflamed." And that just takes the fun out of everything! I am now a hypochondriac!
