WW3 won't start over the Falklands, the Argentine military is in a worse state than it was in 1982, and while the RN doesn't have any carriers at the moment we currently have a garrison of some 3,000 Royal Marines, two Eurofighters and one of the most advanced Anti-Air destroyers (HMS Dauntless a new Type-22) is being dispatched to patrol the Falklands this week. Unless they develop teleportation devices it'd be damn hard for any Argentine troops to land there. We actually have a Squadron of Eurofighters in the Falklands, not just two. Dont know where you got the 3000 marines from, but thats not true. They is a fighting force there though. Although the RN doesnt have a carrier at the moment, the Eurofighter can actually fly from the Assention (spell) Island to the Falklands, like the Vulcan did in 82' only with out all the mid air refueling. Im sure I read somewhere the Eurofighter could fly from the UK to the Falklands none stop, but if that was true it would be combat ineffective. This is a favored topic of mine since Iv had two tours in the Falklands, my last one was when the Eurofighter arrived. The Argies only claim to the Island is the fact that in year dot they landed there, and as they was no cattle had no intrest in the Islands.

It's OK. FKM has been locked into Req's basement for the time being. He'll only be on once Req lets him off the leash.

....so...damn...tempting...must...not I suppose i pogo-sticked through the minefield into that one didn't I? Yeah or some sort of action that could be confused for a pogo stick (bed springs maybe ?). @chem: Already out of it. Trickstick & jarms: You know what my favorite units are? Well in space battles it'd be the rocket artillery. I'm actually surprised we didn't get to see any in our game though you did end me faster than a guy having impotency problems during any 'activity'. I also like a-wings but meh that didn't work out so well. I'm just kind of annoyed that y-wings took so long to be made at my space station. All you had to do was build capital ships and ties come out the hangars. I should really aim for those first actually. Not sure if it'd help though. If i remember they do only have a limited supply of fighters and bombers. I'd have made corvettes but when you're facing so many fighters that's not a good idea. I should've just teched straight to rocket artillery if at all possible and then taken an x-wing squad and gone s-foils to some location that was fairly remote and just spammed a few of them. Marauder cruisers and broadsides really hurt if you don't have the right equipment esp. if you don't have corvette ships.

Christ. Someone on my facebook just posted 'like this if you are against abortion'.
consider yourself deleted.
Also said person should have been aborted.

Both are the same thing...
The jackasses who want to stop abortion typically give themselves the oh-so-sweet name of 'pro-life'.

Nah. I know all that, I was suggesting that being pro-abortion was the next step after pro-choice where you think that abortion is generaly for the best in all cases

I'd have made corvettes but when you're facing so many fighters that's not a good idea. I don't understand. Corvettes are the hard counter for all strike craft. They kill them super fast. emptyhat: Well the world is overpopulated. Abortion is eco-friendly! Today I had a really good game against Salamanders. It came down to Vulkan standing on an objective and Al'rahem charging him with 3 meltagunners. Vulkan took out all of the men and then Al'rahem attacked. 1 hit. 1 wound. 1 for armour save. Instant death. You have to love his Claw of the Desert Tigers when it pulls a win from a draw. Edit: @ Father Hookah: What is your avatar from? It looks familiar...

Which episode of Buffy did you watch Westrider? Never Kill a Boy on the First Date. Not as bad as I remembered it, actually. The stuff with Owen is awkward, and the Annoying One is annoying even before he gets any lines, but those are a relatively small part of the episode, despite being theoretically the main plotlines. The rest is fine, and it's got a few of the best lines in the entire series. "He can brood for 40 minutes straight! I've clocked him!" My seven-year goal is to re-watch the entire series in order, each episode 15 years after the original air date. Well, tweaked by a day or two, since they mostly end up on Saturdays or Sundays, and Monday nights work out better for me and the one local friend of mine who's also into Buffy. Today, the weather was perfect for Burgers, and I even went and got fixin's, but then I crashed before I actually started cooking and just ate a bunch of cookies for dinner. I don't know how I managed to convince the world that I'm actually an adult

Well the world is overpopulated. A lie of the filthy tree-hugging liberals. We'd still all fit in the US with lots 'o room to spare. All upwards of seven billion. It's about time you started paying taxes.

Athletics 1400: "Stealth" And Other Myths I am a big supporter of this class and its elected seminars, stealth is for the weak, it takes real grit to stand up to hundreds of armour piercing rounds, grenades, rockets and flame attacks.
