They called it an Endor drive-by. I hope he's also drunk. He was. The alcohol in his system contributed most magnificently to the combustion after he plowed into the side of a tree.

That's butter nonsense. Repulsorlifts are fueled with combustible materials. Like butter. Mmm.

Sounds like something the Breakfast Marines would take as a fast attack upgrade. Hetlan probably has a prototype hidden away somewhere. He was always hiding his stuff to keep it out of responsible hands.

I have a lot of reading on my plate right now:
- Trafalgar's Lost Hero, a biography of Lord Collingwood who was Nelson's second-in-command. - The first book of the second Percy Jackson series (four books). - The second book of the My Lady Judge series (eight books), a Sister-Fidelma-esque series about a female judge in 1509 Ireland.

Hey, IGMB!
Do you like RTS games?!
Do you like Cold War tanks, planes, and guns?!
Do you want to see Russia, East and West Germany, North and South Korea, Japan, China, France, the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Czechoslovakia, Poland, the US, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway duke it out in Korea, China, and Japan?!
Do you have a Steam account?!
If you answered yes to the above, then Today.... I have awesome news! I've got a free copy of Wargame: Red Dragon for the first person who PM's me asking for it!* Be warned, a decent grounding in Cold War equipment is helpful but not mandatory, and it's got a sharper learning curve than some RTS games *glares at CoH 2*, but it's a great game, and extremely rewarding to master. You should also have a decent graphics card (you can check the requirements on the Steam store page).
*Note that you might not get a response until morning rolls around where I am

So, looking for unit review writers and pictures for the IGMB Tactica Imperialis project. Trooper, I believe you have a number of awesome Catachan conversions (Like Criid, for example) that would look great in the document.

In an effort to avoid confusion, I put your Devil's Rejects down as Carapace Vets instead of Storm Troopers, what with the new Scions kit and all. Excellent conversions, by the way. For the rest of you, the IGMB Tactica Imperialis project thread is here. We still need articles for Orders, the Primaris Psyker, Veteran Squads, all things Fast Attack except for Rough Riders, the Basilisk, the Manticore, and the Hydra. It would also be nice to get some tactics discussions going, as well as a quick review of our allies options and good builds for Guard allied detachments. So far, only about six people have contributed, and out of them three of us have done most of the work. RT, I know you have some useful insights into Veteran and Airborne tactics. Requiem, you've always been talking about how Hellhounds are hot stuff and rolling to hit is so old school. Aeon's been assembling a beginner's guide to the Guard, and it's practically a duplication of effort. Also, we could always use rebuttals to help new players come to informed decisions about how to play the side, and anyone who wants to contribute pictures of their minis is strongly encouraged to do so. Trooper's Jungle Fighters can't represent the Guard all by themselves, you know! [/rant]

I haven't talked about anything tabletop for a long time. You have my full support if you want to c/p anything I wrote on Foreward March! for your own use and/or entertainment. I honestly have no idea how much of it applies to the current rules. I barely looked at the last version. I know nothing about this one.

I think that's sort of the overarching issue here. A lot of us haven't really gotten in to the new edition, or had much time to play. I think Tread, Emptyhat, and Chem have gotten some games in, and I can relay requests to Aeon, but I don't know how much more work he's going to put in to his guide.

I agree, I haven't got that much experience and I also haven't got the guard codex yet either.
I do really like 7th ed and have enjoyed the few games so far.
I wrote a very small post on the new tactics of 7th ed which is quite general (and got way off track really quickly).
When I finish my diploma I'll have a lot more time to add to projects like the tactics thread, right now the job + the business + the family + diploma make it hard to make time for gaming. (to motivate myself I made a restitution not to make or paint anything until the diploma is finished..)
Hopefully come January I will finish the diploma and can then give decent feedback on tactics and unit reviews.
