Then again, maybe they called it 'End Times' for a good reason.
I hope they don't bother 'end timing' 40k as well..

From the description I read, the armies won't be unusable, just old. Releasing 'one print run' versions of models seems like their way of addressing their problem of people buying their army and then never buying anything ever again. It's a better system than the cycle of nerfing and buffing different things so that your cool toy becomes worthless, and you need to buy the new hotness. I've long held that to do better, GW should emulate Magic. Have an ongoing story, have things rotate in. Become involved with their community without doing what they did last time and losing a bunch of money.

Today, I had this piece of satire to share with you all, but then an armed man burst in.
The ensuing lightning storm appears to have destroyed it.

So today this happened because the county school system canceled classes for the day, and I found myself with nothing to do as a result of not having to teach: Attachment DeletedI imagine the attendant dialog and sounds would be something like this: Yoda: "Mmm..." *Tink-tink-tink-tink-tink* Clone Lieutenant, exasperated tone: "Master Yoda, will you please stop doing that?" *Tinktinktinktinktinktinktinktinktinktinktinktinktink* Yoda: "Yee-hee-hee-hee-hee!" Anyhoo, the 6" Black Series Clone Lieutenant was my former custom repainted Clone Sergeant (made from a standard Clone Trooper). However, when I popped into the comic store today, I learned that the Clone Sergeant now has an official release, along with Yoda and the TIE Pilot. So my custom Sergeant repaint got promoted to Lieutenant, with the appropriate paint job.

I hope your superintendent isn't an IGMBer. I fairly confident that they aren't. But if they are, then they deserve the mental scars my vignette incurs due to the failure to deal with weather derp they caused on Tuesday, yesterday, and today...

I don't think so, I was just using a gender-neutral term to refer to the superintendent...

I've long held that to do better, GW should emulate Magic. Have an ongoing story, have things rotate in. Become involved with their community without doing what they did last time and losing a bunch of money. That does make sense, though I'm wondering if the older runs are going to be able to link to the newer ones. Kinda like how in Magic I can bust out an old Lorwyn faerie deck or a white/blue Ally deck to play games with a friend who built a Heroic deck from Theros, who in turn can play against a Orzhov deck from Ravnica. Granted, I can't do this for an official tournament, but for friendly games it's perfectly fine. With Magic, it works because the cards are all bound by a universal ruleset, each new set simply introduces new keywords/abilties and/or reprints cards from older sets that have since gone out of rotation, without having to update the base rules. Not sure how GW is going to go about it for their game. The reality bubbles remind me of Magic planes, in the sense that it provides an easy way to introduce new settings/characters/units/factions.

Just watched the last of the entire series of Cowboy Bebop. Man I love that show! See ya space cowboy. That is a most excellent anime, Rook. I salute you on your taste. May I suggest next you check out Attack on Titan? A friend of mine worked on the voice dub cast for FUNimation's English adaptation of it. Imma watching it on the Blu-Ray and it's awesome!

The story's a bit weak, but you're left with the singular desire to know what's in his basement.

I strongly suspect that there are further seasons of AoT in production... The manga, afterall, has been going for like 7 or 13 years.
And yes, I want to know what's going on in the Basement, and if it is anywhere near as cool as the Super Basement(TM).

I got the same vibe from Bleach as I got from Stargate: Atlantis - that being someone in charge saying, "Well, this has been fun and super-popular, but I want you to wrap up this show so that I can go do other things."
