good call.. will begin to take them as elites.. and deep strike them.. but will have to replace that GL with something more assaulty.. like a plasma or even a melta just to pop tanks with ..

D/S stormies with meltas and plasmas are so good that it won't be long before they're considered cheesey and anyone who uses them is a power player and not very sporting.

just tell the other 95% of your guardsmen to stand up and wave their compressed toilet paper flak jackets in the air and that should silence any cries of cheese

yeah i guess 2 5man squads of stormies with melta/plasmas would be scary for armor.. though they will die quick and painfully though

I have a small Tactic involing One 9 Man Stormtrooper Squad and 2 Leman Russ' 2 Leman Russ' drive down towards said Objective, with the Stormies running / walking inbetween them, meaning I get either 4 Heavy Bolters, 2 Lascannons, One Grenade Launcher, 7 Lasguns, One Las Pistol and when in Range a Flamer, Or 2 Battle Cannons, and The Stormies Weapons. Its a Great Tactic, becuase you can slide the Leman Russ' Forwards and "Charge" the enemy, causing them to Tank Shock and Run, then slide them apart to have a bunch of stormies charging them (Y) It has Worked, EVERYTIME!
Im gonna write a battle report next time im in my local GW, and try to make sure I use that Tactic.

My tactic envolves 2 ten man squads loaded up in Chimeras... both squads have a flamer and a melta, and 1 chimera w/ heavy flamer turret, and heavy bolter hull, and 1 w/ autocannon turret and heavyflamer hull. This is supported in close quarters with a Demolisher in the lead. I hold one squad and its chimera back for reinforcement, and I'm thinking about outifitting my HQ to charge in with them.

I don't like to send in my men piecemeal, I send in my whole army or nothing, otherwise your enemy can concentrate fire and take down your rushing groups and use them as shooting cover by assaulting them. But then I like defensive tactics.

People, Feel free to use my Tactic, if you have the troops, Takes a few practices to pull it off right, youll get the hang of it.
