The name of the coastal area that we were defending? It had a name?
Well, I guess it does now. It's strange coming back here to visit. I mean, I can point out where we had all our fortifications, were the Orks were coming from, the lines that were breached....Kinda nostalgic. I start missing my buddies, and then.....
I remember this is where they died.
-Corporal Levelle Corran, 57th Fareltian PDF (Retired) This is a Company-Regiment Based RP, you control your own company of your own regiment, although you may end up sending in your entire Regiment towards the end I will try to be nice and accommodating, but, as usual, no overpowered stuff or god-moding. I catch you wiping out waves 1-99 single-handedly.....Unpleasant things will happen. Anyhow, if you didn't read the map above (Yay, I made a map for once!), then we're fighting Orks. (Yay, green arrows) Strategic Background: The planet Farelt is under siege by Orks, and the one of the two continents was quickly taken over when the entire Ork fleet "landed". Again, the Imperial Navy was too slow to act, and before the bombardment of the continent could begin, the Orks constructed a makeshift fleet, and sailed for the remaining continent. It was then that the Imperial Guard arrived. However, when Orks were discovered to be only one day away from reaching the continent, the Guard discovered they had nowhere to deploy in mass numbers if they were to reach the coast in time. High Command decided that the Orks could not be allowed to gain a Beachhead, so the Guard was forced to deploy piecemeal in areas near the coast. When lead elements arrived, PDF forces informed them that the Orks were only 6 hours away. The PDF Navy would try to hold them off for more time, but the odds didn't look good. They would only have six hours to prepare the defenses, and to bring down as many troops as they could. Tactical Background: You have successfully managed to bring down most of a single company of your regiment, and your troops have erected reasonable fortifications for a 6 hour time frame. As you have had to assemble your company almost squad by squad, you've had no time to reinforce them. The Current time is 10 minutes before the Orks' ETA. You will be assisted by the Fareltian PDF Template/Example: Here's a general idea of what to submit. Regiment: 1st Bethalt Assault Corp Type: Standard Frontline unit, with a slight tendency towards offensive operations Numbers in Company: 250 Infantry, 3 Leman Russes, 6 Exterminators, 9 sentinels, 3 Valkyries. Notes: The 1st Bethalt Assault Corp is out of their element in a defensive operation, and their effectiveness may be lessened as a result. They also have not fought Orks before. Being an assault company, they use flame throwers and grenade launchers, and use heavy bolters, and missile launchers. They do not use lascannons, and have no access to plasma guns. That's all you really need! P.S: If anyone wants to play an Air Unit, just PM me, and we'll work something out, same if anyone wants to play as a Navy unit.

Regiment: 41st Tolan Fusiliers Type: Fairly new front-line regiment, but proved their worth in helping break the seige of Damascan IV. While having never fought the Orks, they know what the xenos are capable of. Numbers in Company: 400~ Notes: Due to their quick deplyoment, most of the mortar company have accidentaly been sent to hold the beaches. What use these mortars will do if the Orks reach the defences no-one knows. But hopefully some people were listening during close-combat training.
By the way, is this from the commander-on-the-ground's perspective or from some 'higher being's'.

Regiment: 201st Thalaxian Rifles. Type: Standard front line unit with preference for defensive combat. Numbers in Company: 200 Infantry (divided into 20 10 man squads) Half the squads are equipped with heavy weapons - 2 Mortars, 1 Autocannon, 2 Lascannons and 5 Heavy Bolters. Attached: Commissar Augustus Corvin. Notes: The 201st Thalaxian Rifles deployed on Farelt aren't strictly a regiment, but rather fresh troops raised to replenish the regiment of the same name. Along with Commissar Corvin, they were being sent to Velkt IV when the troopship carrying them recieved orders to change course immediately. The troops themselves have never been in combat (other than training senarios) while Commissar Corvin has fought Orks several times.

Regement: Imperial Rivia 32nd Ranged division with attached Iron Soul armoured platoon Type: Rivian infantry, Iron Soul (Lunar) Armour
Number in company; 205 Rivians divided into 4 platoons of 25 men+ 5 man command team (each platoon has 1 command team of 5, two 8 man rifle squads (Each squad has 2 sniper rifles), 6 heavy weapons teams with 3 myssile launchers, 3 autocannons) 35 Iron Souls organized into 3 squads of 10 with chimeras (each Hull mounted HB Turret mounted HF and each squad has 3 flamers) 6 sentinels (organized into 2 squads of 3, each squad has 2 autocannons and 1 heavy flamer) 3 armoured sentinels (3 plasma cannons) 3 leman russ(All standard with heavy bolter sponson and lascannon hull-mount)
The 32nd has always been a troublesome company frequently causing as much devastation to itself as it does the enemy. While most higher-ups see this as amusing, the Rivians in this company tend to be highly psychotic and unstable compared to their homeworld companions. They do a lot of off-world fighting and are quite aggressive. They are one of the few non-assualt dedicated companies that has survived repeated close quarters fights with Orks. This division's current leader is Captain Io'Dar Broja, a highly violent and temperamental man prone to explosive fits of rage and giving death threats to corpses(He's not all there...). They are currently being watched over by an Iron Soul Platoon under the command of the soft-spoken Colonel Sadi Yang, while very quiet she has the ability to unnerve even Io'Dar into calming down. A feat not many have claim to possess.

I think it would be useful to state the scale of the map and where your company is stationed. Because I'm not sure where everyone is exactly and whether they are on the map. If the scale is quite small, maybe we should produce a larger scale one as well, because people are also arriving from far away. (Also because I don't think we can all fit in a small area)

Announcement: The above map is NOT to scale, it is just to get a general idea of where everything is. Also, please save the image below, and add your locations and label them on the map. The entire picture is a large scale map of the player defense zone, and may not be to scale. If your forces overlap with another, either use a colored shape, or simply add your regiment name to the preexisting shape.

Shugoteshi, am I right in saying you have a team stationed at each of the rectangles?
Also Kaikelx, we still have 4 more people to announce their positions, so don't lose hope!
Jarms, go onto Imageshack, and submit your picture, post the 'direct link' (second box down) and but use the [ img][/img] tags around it.

First off, sorry I've been gone for a few days, I spend the Friday, Saturday, and this morning at Op. Lion Claws a large airsoft military simulation event with that had a pair of US Army Rangers who were in Somalia in 1993 and a former Soviet paratrooper as event VIPs.
@happyorange: I guess so, I placed Team Gulf before the 41st was added to the map, but since my current units on the field are 14 man Spec Ops teams its not a big deal, I hope.
I believe it is to our advantage to have my teams spread out anyways to provide rapid recon, search and rescue, support, and air control/artillery spotting to all sections of the battle

Announcement/Question: Who's left to mark up their spots? I really need to know where everyone is for my next post that will move the RP along, and I cannot do it unless everyone playing has put up their spots. I know that Hetlan, Corvin, and Helmian still have too....
If you guys don't mark up your spots by the end o tomorrow, I will take temporary control of your forces, and place them where I think they are.

shugotenshi47, no not a problem, I was just wondering if you were detailing the map or stating your position. @omnes, could anyone with heavy support in the south come and destroy the submarine that's killed a lot of my front-line troops and my commanding officer? Thanks.

the 93rd overlaps the assault corps, the armoured fists squads are on standby to counter attack, and can do this pretty much anywhere on both the western side and the southern, it will take longer time for them to reach the positions furthest away from them.
