I've decided that i want to add him to one of my squads, has anyone else made a conversion of him?
Right now im planning to use a normal troopers body and legs just with some gs plates to show his carapace, the command squads capped head but nto sure about power sword and hot-shot laspistol. Problem is all that have them are metal so would have to be a conversion and i'm n ot great at taking out a chainsword and replacign it with a power sword.

Just chop the whole hand with chainsword off - it's easy enough. Then get the hand holding the pommel of the 2-handed sword, from the empire militia set and a SM powersword from the assault marine box and try to get all three bitz to pair up. The trick is to cut straight.

thanks im gonna use that, but going to use one of the many arms already without a hand. and got an idea for a hotshot laspistol. But not sure what type of backpack to use, is the kasrkin backpack attached?

I found that the kasrkin sergeant makes a good Bastonne.

My stand in was a little different due to my continued failure to develop any skills with greenstuff whatsoever. So a combat shield instead. The left arm is the Cadian Sgt one, with the chainsword cut away and the "handle" for the shield built from tiny offcuts from the blade of an Empire halberd blade as I recall. The right arm is the mortar loader arm with a hand from an Empire militiaman to give him a more "ceremonial" sword than the standard Cadian issue.

very nice, and really nicely painted. I've half made mine so far, just need a power sword and backpack to attack the wires to but can't find a decent backpack for it...might use a vox caster.

I found that the kasrkin sergeant makes a good Bastonne. Agreed. All you have to do is switch the sergeant head with a tank's officer's head.

Argh, whenever I see a really well painted mini I feel guilty for not being as good of a painter as the person who painted the mini. If that makes any sense. I've got to stop coming on these forums. They make me feel horrible. (That's a compliment, BTW.)
