Hey all, I've recently converted up some cadian's to represent drop troops/veterans with shotguns. They all have a vox with the antenna and bits and bobs cut off then the exhaust thingys from a SM backpack as a drop chute. They all have the rebreather masks you get in the command box set with the square bit cut off. 2 have flamers and 1 with a heavy flamer. I'm quite proud of what they look like and once i get them painted and a good camera i will post up some pics. However i want them to have something that represents their demolitions doctrine and also some bits and bobs that will really stand out and make them eye catching. Nothing too complicated or expensive. So thats my question, what can i do? Cheers in advance.

Meltabombs? Go buy a pack of small buttons, and call them mines. a little work, maybe some gs... good anti-tank stuff.
Demo charge? Go find a melta canister from the devastator box.

There my explosives and all made from bits i had left over from conversions or not added to units. Top left i use as melta bomb, stuck it to one of my guys, top middle i use as anti tank mine, both made from smoke launchers from the old Leeman. top right is a demo charge i've given one of my guys, bottom pack of a vox caster. middle two other demo charges, made with the smoke launchers and bottom parts of SM back packs and the bottom row is mines made form SM back packs. Could also if you can make like a small box or crate and have it on one of the bases to show they got a crate of supplies they've captured or was dropped with them. Hope this helps give some ideas.

You might try adding the picture it seems you're referencing.

Yea i was thinking the same thing... I'm gonna give the meltabomb idea a go. Headin out shoppin tomorrow so ill see what i pick up. Also the smoke launcher idea sounded good. As a related side note i bought a vehicle equipment pack that was meant to go on a model Humvee. Came with some cool bits and bobs that i stuck on my tank and sentinel. My favourite thing about it though was the puppy. Thats right, it came with a puppy! It's the perfect size as well and ive glued him to the base of one of the troopers. Then i glued grenades to him. Perfect demo charge! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-tank_dogIt now also explains why my guardsman some how managed to scatter the damn charge further than he should be able to throw it....
