I'm starting to work on a CSM army based on Fabius Bile and his enhanced warriors but I'm at a loss as to a color scheme. I was considering Blood/Scab red with dark/black highlights but black & red CSM armys are pretty cliche. The idea's I have are
Blood/Scab Red like Fabious' armor is painted in the codex (problem: see above)
Dark Grey with Blood/Scab Red edges (love the colors but still close to B&R)
dirty White with Blood/Scab Red edges & possible Blood splatters (interesting and very horror movie mad doctorish, but don't know if I can pull off the dirty White well enough)
Anyone have any other ideas? or thoughts on the above color schemes.

My Loyalist chapter is a dark black and red, with brass trimmings.... >.> <.<
I'd go with the dirty white and bloodstains, don't see many of those, adn it sounds cool. I'm pretty sure that most CSM armies are dark red/black as they don't really wash their armour ever and blood gets all over it...

Dirty white's actually pretty easy to do. It's getting a clean white that's a total pain in the rear.
Precoat the area you're going to paint white with a brown of some sort, use a light touch with the white, and make sure it's not too wet and there's not much paint on your brush. add extra layers if it's too dirty rather than loading up the brush more.
For extra variation, use different browns to undercoat different parts of the Model. The way they come through the white will make a more broken, dirty look while if it's all the same, it can sometimes just look sloppy.
Also, consider inverting that one, with the white on the Armour Plates, and the red on the Trim. I think that'd look pretty cool.
