755 is the point limit of choice for small games in my gaming circle, so 755 is usually the place I start off with.
Necron Lord with Warscythe and Resurrection Orb
13 Necron Warriors
13 Necron Warriors
1 Necron Wraith
6 Scarab Swarms with disruption fields
What this list lacks is AT ability, the wraith will be going for low rear AV vehicles(S6, 4 attacks on the charge.) the scarabs are there to rush in and glance things to death(or at least knock some weapons off and/or immobilize.)
The rest of the army huddles around the orb and advances into rapid fire range.
Less than seven causes phase out.

Less than seven causes phase out. I honestly wouldn't bother playing Necrons with under 1,250 points, but I have seen it done because at 755 all lists are brittle. If you try and visualise it the lord will be using his body as a shield for the warriors, passing out walking sticks and such to keep them moving

you could always drop off the 3 warriors from each squad and use the points to add extra wraiths or maybe 2 destroyers for some extra fire power or if you dropped the wraith as well then you could get 5 immortals as your lords bodyguard.
This would give you a strong core with warriors on the flanks for rapid fire protection and then the scarabs to annoy tanks and take weapons off/shake/stun them. Remember that a tank with 2 weapons will be destroyed with 4 weapon destroyed or immobilised results!
