sgts- I sold these vets. My vets have a ML and 3 GL's as I like to use their better BS.

lol cool, theese look sweet but the plasmagun looks sorta out of place on that guy but they look really good, it really reminds me of my thoughts of what a hardened vet looks like, grizzeled, dirty and kicking @ss lol

very nicely painted... i need to go back and touch up some of my stuff now that i see yours lol. As far as my vets go, i use a ML,3 plasma guns and a vet sgt with a power weapon, and 3 squads of them.I kind of made it to go against all the smurf and necron players we have around me but it works very good on most every army so far.

Awesome models Woz, i really like the battered and warn down feel, like they've been in the field for goodness knows how long. Im trying to get that done on my boys, but so far my techniques lacking. Can i ask how you did your bases, because im trying to get mine to have a sort of muddy trench effect, for when i've finished my trench system?
Cheers

Sweet! Finally a use for those damn huge drum bits! Excellent job, though it feels to me the paintjob is a bit..I don't know. A bit off. Still great!

Col. Asper - I just coated the bases in PVA glue then dipped them in a tub of sand/fine gravel.

I love those Vets. I was thinking of having my sergeants look very similar since I have a few of those old storm trooper backpacks going to waste and seeing those models of yours has convinced me to do it.
I also like the weapon straps! they add a lot more realism to the miniatures. If you don`t mind, could you tell me how you modeled them? Thanks

thats what i do, but what colours did you use? Brown then a black wash then it's dry brushed with a light brown. I then picked out some of the larger stones.

I`ve been trying to make the straps with plasticard without much success. I`ll try using greenstuff.
