So, after much thought and wondering whether I really need to have a tournament legal army or not, I decided to get a Elysian Army and use the Elysian Army List.
Now, at one point, I did have a Guard Army, but sold it to get the Elysian Army, I only played a couple games though before it was gone. So, I'm nearly brand new to the game of 40k.
Now, I've read enough threads about forgeworld miniatures that they are not for inexperienced, but I hope that with enough reading and careful handling, I'll be able to minimize any damage, but that is not the point of this thread.
What I would like to know is this: what are some standard dos and don'ts making and using an Elysian List(IA8). In other words, tactics.
Thanks a lot.
Btw, may possibly combine all of this into a comprehensive Elysian Guide for the forums, with all the best tactics thrown in for anyone who has the same problem as me(Seems like a good idea, can't find anything like it on the internet).

Mobility is their biggest strength. With the force it is possible to hold them in reserve and get them onto the board quickly. Your opponent will counter this with center denial. While this is not uncommon it is something that is easy enough to get around especially with the speed of the Vendetta, and the Valk.
Most of your troops are going to end up being tank killers since you are going to be rather light on the heavy weapons. Troops need to be mobile and rarely are used to just hunker down unless you have the cover to remain in.
