Im glad you like the Salamander, i felt like adding some small gags while painting it, now Im facing a problem though since i recently started to (re)paint my tanks from the "chaos undivided" black to more brownish colours since my skills and techniques have developed over the years since i got all those tanks in the first place. Started out with painting my newly accuired Basilisk and Hellhound and since it roughly takes 1 day to paint each tank i plan to be finished in max 2 weeks. Now my problem is how the hell to preserve the grandpa death grafiti?! My idea is to gently paint around it or maybe make it within some kind of frame or something?? Here is how my tanks will look like btw All painted with standard sized brush A friend of mine calls me insane since i painted all my eldar tanks with a standard brush aswell lol Got any good tips on how to paint around the grandpa death?

I thought youre conversions were proper good those models are awsome! Where did you get the legs?
At first i thought the tank was absolute rubbish (in the construction stage) but painted it turned out cool after seeing how yours turned out i would try it out myself.
The Ogyrns are really cool and you may be starting to overhaul my hatred of them as i am generally reluctant to include them in my armies.

Thanks alpinewolf, scratchbuilt models tend to look like nuts untill you paint them and cover up the horrid truth hidden underneath the paintjob lol. The sacrificed Sherman was about to be thrown away when it hit me to try to make something of my own and so i ended up with a imo cool tank that had cost me nothing but some time (god it's a good feeling I tell you ;D). And the model itself had worked quite well on the battlefield so for with quite a lot of plaguezombies and plaguemarines being added as scratchmarks behind the bolter tower hehe. About the Ogryns, I was sceptical to include Ogryns since the original models are dead ugly and too expensive. But Im glad i tried to make my own and succeeded in doing so, Ogryns kick ass being one of the few hard hitting units in an Imperial Guard army, make one a Bone 'ead and load 6 of them into a chimera and launch it at the enemy lines and sit back and watch the mayhem. Now for your first question, what legs are you talking about? Tell me what you mean and I will gladly answer your question

@ trooper249 You are absolutely right. I was inspired by a picture of a British WW2 Grant tank. The Original thing My Salamander "custom" I espescialy wanted the side turret like the one on the Grant tank. Took some work but when it was done it looked cool and unique and it may be turned in a 90 degree angle.

I love this army! It really has a lot of character and has a real 'veteran' feel to it. Your ogryns are great. Thank god for the exellent new Ogre range. My ogryns are also made from them. Can't wait to see more of your work! Great job!

Thank you bobahat, my latest project are 20 catachans that I've turned into hardened veterans and Im currently painting them, (then my remaining 6 rough riders are next)They'll be posted here as soon as they are finished which shouldnt take more than a week. The Ogryns still need to have their bases painted but I think they came out ok. I hated the cartoony looks of the metal Ogryns and do hope GW plan on releasing plastic Ogryns sometime in the future.

Omg it has been eons since I was on this board, been busy as hell with a lot of projects. Well anyways. The latest addition to my evergrowing Imperial Guard army. The feral abhumans known as the "Beastmen of Krak des Chevaliers" are recruited from within the deep brooding forests of a small moon located between Cadia and the Eye of Terror. The location of this moon is so close to the Eye of Terror that imperial fleets usually take a detour to avoid it at all. The beastmen of Krak des Chevaliers are divided into 3 subspecies: Packmaster: Looking very similiar to the Big brother the Packmasters are a subspecies of their own. Before the Imperials arrived they acted as pack chieftains, schamans and other social positions of high esteem. They are by far the most intelligent of their kind and can be tought enough words in the human language to make them understand complex orders, and trained with better equipment. Experiments have been made in secrecy with implants and to some extent bionics. Though the bodies seem to heal the implants keep malfunctioning. It would seem that their won't be any other use for these warriors than to lead their brethren into combat. Big brother: The warrior spirit burns brightly in every "Big brother's" soul. They may be rowdy, smelly and intimidating to civilised imperial troops, but their strenght, stamina, size and straightforwardness is amazing to watch in the heat of battle. Seemingly fearless they can be tasked with everything no matter how dangerous and lethal it is. Led by the Packmasters they are ideal shocktroops. Little brother: The smalest of their kind, the Little brother's are less muscular than the rest of the beastmen, and their weak arms and minds can only use the basic lasgun rifle. No less they are an asset on the battlefield. They seem to have a natural feel for setting up ambushes, and their speed and small frame make them ideal for crazy dashes across the battlefield to plant meltabombs on enemy tanks and fortifications. They are often seen in mixed units of Packmasters and Big brother's. All pics are WIP and will remain as such untill next week when Im done painting models for two guys. See you then

Thanks @ all Nice that you like my work mabus, I keep improving with each new project. I plan to have 20 imperial beastmen converted in 14 days, have some painting for money for other people do finish of first. You can check out my latest finished paint project in the Eldar section under Anatolis Harlequins (well not anymore as they are sold). Stay tuned, I will definetly keep my topics up to date now that I have some projects running. I also traded another 5 Ogre Bulls that I will make to Ogryns. Im thinking of making them like my other 6, from my imagination and as I please not really caring about WYSIWYG, I allready have plans for one medic ogryn
