Hi everyone, my army is a guard army separate from the imperium so they have no quarry with Xenos. my question is: how would i make some of my guardsmen into Xenos?

I think I saw a conversion of Beastsmen with Guardsmen flak jackets on with lasguns. I don't remember where I saw it, but I liked it. I want to do it one day. I guess, it would work for "xenos" but they're abhumans.. I dunno. Sorry, if this isn't helpful at all..

(obvs these are just blutacked together) If you fancy beast guard, it's pretty easy to knock together the old beastmen kit with catachans - they can end up looking alright with minimum GS work actually, and they're a little bit taller than a standard guardsman, so they'll really stand out ;D

beast guard look interesting might try it out
What i really meant was how to covert xenos like tau, kroot, eldar and other species into guardsmen. Thanks any way though

Well, the problem is the fluff. I don't think most of the Codex aliens would ever fight on the same side as Imperials. That being said, Eldar, Tau, Kroot, Orks, those are all highly unlikely allies. Maybe you should start looking for lesser known species that would fight on the same side as renegade guardsmen. A good example are the Loxatl from Dan Abnett's Sabbat Crusade novels.

The fluff of my guard is that they left quietly in the horus heresy and found a system that was nearly unocuppied. Since then there have been imperials, tau, mercs, eldar, blood axe and others coming to a trade point. This creates a protective barrier of ships over the trade world so no one is willing to invade and an a place where no one has the upper hand with defences, troops ect.
My thinking was that some of the species that come to trade would mix into the population.
Another part of my fluff is that my troops go to a world with a campaign happening, set up a base in the jungle, forest, tunnels ect and wait for fleeing troops to get lost near the camp. The fleeing troops are then given food, supplies and medical atention. when the campaign was over they would leave the planet and go back to the trade world.
my thinking was that the troops who fled would not be alowed back imto their army because they were deserters so they would have to stay on the trade world
Dunno if that explains it sorry if i haven't helped I wouldn't mind using less well known species i just need help converting them.

thanks for the sites, not what i was looking for but i guess they will have to do. what i would like is help with making xenos look like guardsmen more or less, so things like wether tau or eldar would work on guard bodies, pics of other species i could use, gs ideas, vehicle ideas or anything else you can think of to make guardsmen of other species
LURKERS MAKE ACCOUNTS.

tau fire warriors fits pretty good with guardsman part; my IG is a planetary defense force that fights for the tau after taros. i give some IG tau pulse weapons and take off most imperial symbols.
