I love the converted model, but the gun is a bit unrealistic to me - it seems like it'd need to be wielded in 2 hands as big as it is. don't get me wrong; I LOVE how you've tricked out the storm bolter, it looks really nice (looks like he could be used to qualify the squad he's in for xenos hunters: eldar which is very cool). the chainsword is truly classy, and the black coat is awesome - reminds me of starship troopers and the whole winged skull icon army that buys and sells in blood and death kinda thing - very very cool.
all told, you've done a great job with the commissar, though I did ask myself "a commissar with a stormbolter?..." that's one expensive stormbolter - the only thing I can think of is that you might be planning to use this commissar as an independent with conscripts?

Well the stormbolter is infact intended to be held wuth 2 hands, I added a piece underneath the Stormbolter where he can steady it with his other arm (when not waving like a lunatic with the chainsword) I prefer stormbolters over boltpistols/bolters. 2 Boltershots att 24" range and possible assault allowed make it nice, and only cost 5 pts. I dont like giving expensive models (officers) plasmapistols. And since my HQ is used for High leadership bonus for the entire army (fitted with a HSO, Commissar & master vox) i prefer to keep them out of harms way as much as possible. Thats why 2 long range bolter shots att full range are better than 2 boltpistol shots at 12" range IMO. If this all makes no sense, I'ts because play maily 2-3000pts battles so I can afford some fun stuff in the army that wouldnt qualify in the "regular 1750pts" battles

I think it is a great conversion! Very well thought out, but to be honest I think the gun is too big. It looks like something out of Manga! For me, the mini would look much more balanced with a smaller storm bolter (like the one Yarrick has). Other than that, it is exellent! I especially love the eagle on his hat. That's a great idea! I think I am going to do that on my version of the mini as well.

The stormbolter is really supposed to be pintle mounted on a tank/chimera so thats why its so oversized, if I had a smaller stormbolter like terminators have or the Yarrick one I would switch it in 2 seconds. But the size doesnt bother me at al The eagle/imperial emblema can be found on misc. stuff that you get in IG boxes, like ammo crates and such, just peel them of with a knife trim the edges and glue it on.
