I've always wanted to see someone try to run a peasant-heavy Bretonian army. Course, that might just be because da boyz don't handle heavy cavalry well...

With the new volley rules Bret bowmen are nasty. Just sit there and fire 30 shots a turn and retain 4 ranks with a frontage of 10. They're going to be a pain to shift, the men at arms sit near my trebs to cover them. Yeomen sit on the flanks and knights sit in the middle to give leadership bonus, All magics users use law of life hopefully i can then give all my archers regen and increased toughness and keep regrowing the dead.

I'm somehow not afraid of bretonnian bowmen. Mostly because as skaven i can just grab the shadow magnet trinket (-1 BS to the hero's unit being shot at) and the storm banner which is insane (-2 BS for the whole board and things that don't use BS to hit need a +4 to hit). Of course the storm banner is only active per one of the player's turn i think and then you need to roll a +4 to see if it ends or continues. However both things esp. the storm banner would be awesome against bowmen esp. nutsty peasants. I've done it before and didn't take any losses. As for the peasants i don't see why you don't take them in a horde. I know once guy that takes some high leadership hero and the stubborn banner and the peasants stand until the very end. Very annoying to kill from what i saw. The knights also had a special anti-stubborn banner for enemies but you're running peasants. That's a surprisingly shooty list for bretonnia though. I hope you do well but i can't help but want my skaven to kill every army even yours. Maybe if you got a skaven army i'd root for you and then stab you in the back and assert my dominance over the rat pack .

Nice army list, but be careful with leadership tests ... the peasants are not very brave. We always joked that Bretonian peasants are the best way to kill Acheron. Just send wave after wave of your ... errr ... heroic peasants. With his own sword, Acheron will kill himself sooner or later ;D All magics users use law of life hopefully i can then give all my archers regen and increased toughness and keep regrowing the dead You certainly will get these spells, because every army can only have a spell once, so if let choose the Fay Enchantress the lore of live (which I recommend, since she gets +4 on every roll for spells), one of your damsel will inevitable get the two missing spells. For your other two damsels you have to choose one of the another lore. Cheerio! -Magg
