The past couple of days when I've been logging into the forum, or trying to view threads, I've occasionally been getting re-directed to another site, even though I'm not scrolling over any roll-overs, or clicking on the website circle at the bottom of the page...

Were you re-directed to this page? It happened to me a couple of times, too. It always happens while the thread I clicked on is loading … -Magg

Req complained of the same problem. I didn't have it until I clicked the link he sent me, but now it happens sometimes. That's why I removed the link in Magg's post.
The long and short of it is sometimes a website called Topic Craze will hijack a loading page and redirect it to it's site. Not sure why it's happening, though.

Ah, well I'm glad to know that it's not just me having problems.
We must call down Exterminatus on this Topic Craze site...

The redirects seem to be happening more frequently now, and mostly occur when I am posting a reply to messages in threads...

I'm getting them as well. Incase nobody else does this, I have the IGMB home page as a bookmark on the bookmarks toolbar (firefox) and the symbol has changed. It's now like a little flame with a cute face. when you have tabs open its still the PB symbol. Just sayin'

I had a redirect happen today when I was posting a reply in the Today thread... Fortunately it was only a few sentences, but I lost the message and had to re-type it. I also have Firefox, but haven't noticed any hanky-panky with the icon for my IGMB bookmark.

I've not had any of these problems so I wonder if you've picked something up off a link or from another site. StillANoob's post makes me wonder if your browsers been hijacked and you're looking at this forum through another site . Check your bookmark/address bar, it should start with commissar.proboards.com..........

It's changed back now. But it changes every now and then. Not for long though. The link still starts commisar.proboards...... I've noticed a lack of re directs lately as well. Maybe Gabe purged it with holy fire while we weren't looking?Happened again today. The symbol changed back after it happened. The link is still the same. SaN

its pretty easy to prevent re-directs with firefox tools>option>additional options>put "warn when page tries to re-direct" option on vola now you are pretty much immune to re-directs

The problem isn't just with FireFox, it's with the Topic Craze site. This first happened to me over my phone. Plus, nothing I've done to the settings on my computer have stopped it. If you look at the history, Topic Craze is usually back behind the page you were looking at, which further leads me to believe that there are shenanigans going on. Also, I haven't noticed this happening to any other site, Proboards or otherwise.

Yeah, I haven't noticed any changes to the address for IGMB in my bookmarks, and I'm only having the problem when I'm on the board--it hasn't happened to me on any of the other sites that I visit. I'll try setting up the redirect warning and see if that helps. Thanks Havoc! Edit: Hmmm, I am not seeing an option to block redirects...

I just did what Havoc advised. I'll let you guys know if that stops it. Go to Tools-Option-Advanced (the tab)-Then the General Tab. It's in the top box, titled Accesibility, and its the third option. Cheers, SaN

Iv been redirected 3/4 times in the last week. Its just happened again when I was trying to cast a vote on a post. For the people who cant find the option on firefox what Havoc said, its found here: (For english users) Tools>Advanced>Warn me when wed sites try to redirect or reload the page
Hope it works and hope the site gets fixed soon.

Hi guys.
Okay, I just re-installed Firefox, and found the settings to warn of/block redirects and enabled it. I'll let you know if I have any more problems.
Thanks!
