I think every skaven player can't wait for this. However in particular the weapons teams and the hellpit abomination are probably topping the list. I don't expect to see everything get released but the few main things hopefully will. Maybe they'll re-release the rat ogres and the plague censer bearers as the censer bearers are looking pretty fugly and need a re-release. I just feel bad i threw 90 dollars at censer bearers if they're going to throw out a bunch of new ones. Then we still need a plagueclaw catapult. Hopefully much of this stuff will be released but i figure they'll limit it to maybe 5 things. No info has been given yet which is strange as it's already near christmas. I figure either when it hits january or christmas is over they'll be all over this. I'm just really curious as to what we'll be getting. Anyway here's a link to a 13 floored building based on the witchfate tor set that's supposed to be topped with a screaming bell. It's supposed to be skavenblight but i'm sure the real skavenblight would be much more grand even if their version is still really impressive. www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/blogPost.jsp?aId=14600005a

You can find some pictures of the new models that will be released (soon?) right here. The page is in German, but you know that pictures are worth more than thousand words The Warlock Engineer on the third picture is Ikit. To be honest I like the old Warp-Lightning Cannon more … -Magg

I saw that before but i didn't think those were the actual pics for the new skaven models. I just thought they were some hobby stores versions for each model. I'm mildly interested in the hellpit abomination and the doom flayer could look better. The ikit claw model though is bad ass. I'm not sure what to think of the warp lightning cannon and the plague claw catapult.

Oh nice a bigger picture!
Hmmm … maybe I need more pictures, but judging from this picture I do not like the look of this “thing”. The small legs look very ridiculous to me.

The hellpit abomination? Yeah it definitely could look a lot better. More news on january 29th ! My version of the hellpit was going to be a daemon prince or greater daemon body, some nid talons and parts from the carnifex or mawloc/trygon kit, a centipede-like tail made of segments from clay, some wheels from the screaming bell/plague furnace kit and some rat ogre heads and arms. Of course i'd need plenty of green stuff to hold it all together and getting all these pieces together for a conversion wouldn't be easy.

So yeah they announced all the skaven stuff today and i'm more impressed than i thought i'd be. I guessed practically on the dot that the hellpit abomination would be about 50 dollars (it's 49.50 USD). So we're getting a new ikit claw, tretch craventail (which looks bad ass btw), a hellpit abomination which can look pretty cool, a warp lightning cannon/plagueclaw catapult kit (the payload on the plagueclaw catapult looks like vomit or diarrhea), the doom flayer (which is awesome looking), the warp grinder (for tunneling teams and it looks pretty cool), skaven magic cards (finally) and a uniforms and heraldry book which i may actually get at some point.
I love the dwarf ruins on the models btw. I find it funny they try to make tretch craventail look like a bad ass when he really isn't. He's a good support character for his points and his story is pretty cool but he's no deathmaster snikch. I'll still probably get him though and i always thought about getting ikit claw for his sheer firepower. I figure the pricing is pretty decent. Ikit claw is a little more expensive than i thought he'd be but it's not problem and the doom flayer seems a bit more expensive than i expected but that's also cool. Everything else in the new releases are priced how i expected.
This pretty much wraps up the skaven list which is funny considering the guard army still isn't finished. The skaven still need a normal poisoned wind mortar model in a blister pack and the plague censer bearers really need new models as do some of the model range. I wish they concentrated less on the stupid high elves getting revamped and more time on the skaven. Sure they did them both for island of blood but the skaven just got new stuff whereas the high elf army just got needlessly revamped with it's models' looks which weren't even that bad to start with.

Ikit is my favourite new release, too, and I have to revise my opinion of the hellpit abomination from “do not like it” to “interesting”.
I also like the Warp-Grinder and the Tretch model, but I would not recommend to buy the Uniform and Heraldy books … just take a look at it if you are at the store. I know that the store is not a library, but this books are not worth buying it. A lot of the information and pictures, which can be found in these books, can also be found in the WhiteDwarf (at least in the older ones).

Well i accidentally said ikit claw was my favorite looking model but i meant tretch craventail. Tretch is my favorite looking model possibly. There's many good looking ones though. I think the doom flayer looked better in the codex just like the vermin lord and hellpit abomination did but the doom flayer looks good. In fact most of the stuff looks pretty good. I'm not sure about the new artillery but maybe it'll grow on me. I somehow expected the plagueclaw catapult to have a giant censer payload instead of barf and diarrhea. At least it'll still kill those stupid high elves and dark elves.
I want to get the magic cards for the sheer reason it says they're limited supply. The idea of having an item that will be not always be available excites me. I want the uniforms and heraldry for the stories on each of the clans and the pictures as well as inspiration for clan colors and banners. I'm really just so undecided what clan to make my skaven and what to color many of them. Besides skaven have the only interesting fluff in the entire of warhammer fantasy in my opinion.
