Hey guys, I know I'm sporadically on the boards and wanted to clear this with the modissars before going all gungho. insert: "Sound of a slide being racked" I was thinking of putting together a catalogue of all the 28mm conversion pieces made by other companies in an attempt to show that there is a variety of cool conversion bits that people can use for their imperial guard armies. Most of this stuff is hard to find as it is made by a variety of other companies, so wouldn't support one company or another. basically it would have a picture of the piece, a link to the site that makes it and a small description of what it is. So if this gets the go ahead from a modissar i will put all of my google foo skills and years of obsessive compulsive disorder to use, and I'll put them all in one place. Anyone would be welcomed to add to it, so we can expand our base. Example: www.victorialamb.com/store.htmlDescription: This 3rd party product as displayed in the above pictures, is a collection on legs in kilts and rebreather masks with breathing tanks. They fit imperial guardsmen and can be used for making Drookian Fen Guard. So if i get the go ahead there will be plenty more of these entries. Shall We continue? sincerely Chrome

Woz is the final arbitrator on this one way or another, but we've done similar things in the past. Providing a few examples and linking to the store's front page is fine as far as I know (if not, I'm in trouble then because I've done it with the War Store often). GW sometimes has fits about this kind of thing, but not very often and usually only if the product is a blatant knock off of their products.
I think you'll be fine.

www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/index.php?infoBox=1&cPath=130Description: West Wind Miniatures produces a pretty awesome selection of WWII Sepereate Head System (SHS). They include US, British, Russian, German and French. There are also a number of other interesting things on the site including samauri heads, possibly a good match for bloodpact.

www.theassaultgroup.co.uk/store/home.php?cat=23 Description: The assault group makes weapons and equipment from ancient to ultra-modern. The back packs are pretty good, but the weapons are true 28mm, so they are too small for GW purposes. The heavier weapons, for instance the rpg-7 is about the right size though.

www.empressminiatures.com/index.htmDescription: Empress miniatures makes some interesting 28mm models, but the heads are a real find for all those interested in making their army a little more realistic. Damn you insomnia!

Ummm, I think you may have mistaken me for someone who has power, I was just commenting that VL is a great hobbier, and that it would be a shame if her models were rejected by GW. It would be a shame, but I wouldn't be surprised if they rejected them out of hand.

We already have a thread for this in the Trading Post, dedicated to all the third-party stuff and manufacturers out there.
