someone knows their bitz It was a really simple and easy conversion, the only thing that was a real pain was carving away the grenade without messing the hand up, took me three arms to get it right! The grunt catching the shotgun actually took a hell of a lot more converting, when I get my camera working again I will have to post a clearer pic of him on his own

I definitely want to see more photos of the grunt catching the shotgun!

Double posty goodness this one is picture heavy! My latest whimsy project came about when I spotted some toy trucks in the local 'Pound stretcher' (for an international readers its a rather cheap and nasty store chain that sells stuff insanely cheaply) These trucks where a mere £1.99 each! and almost 40K scale, and they had LOTS of them! my brain started ticking... Any one who has read a Dan Abnett novel will have undoubtedly heard mention of the ubiquitous 'Cargo-8' or one of its slightly larger/ smaller cousins the Cargo-5 & 10, Mr Abnett seems quite fond of them and they spring up in most of his books at some point or another, all we really know about them is they are road trucks of various mass, mainly used by civi's My Cadians are supposed to be a combined armoured regiment primarily supplied by Gryphonne IV, latest 'Nid fluff says Gryphonne IV got eaten by Hive fleet Leviathan, so I reckon my Enginseers and quartermasters are going to be a little less fussy about what they replace their damaged Trojans with..... This is the first of the offending Truck toys, complete with weird stickers only a child could fathom... after a bit of a rummage in my bitz box A lick of paint and viola! a Cargo-8 munitions carrier is born! One down, 15 to go, including tankers

Excellent! Simply excellent! I also came across a similar toy - a Morrisons articulated lorry... I'm thinking of doing the same kind of thing as you've done Nathaniel... but, tell me, did you have to sand the toy at all to get the paint to stick properly? The toy truck I have seems very "shiny" and not paint friendly... I shall be drawing upon your completed version for my own inspiration

Thanks guys Gabriel; no, I didn't have to sand it, but I would test a patch first to be sure, the only issue I did have was whatever paint they did the blue on the cab with showed through the Catachan green a little even after two coats of Chaos black primer, which baffled me somewhat, but I just kept layering it on until you couldn't tell

Sweet! I like the rules for the Cargo-8, also it's a great looking conversion/re-painting of a cheap toy.
