I was looking through my Chaos marine codex and couldn't find any rules for dark apostles or Warsmiths. Are there any? If so could someone tell me where I could find them.

Those units are not in the current Chaos Space Marine codex.
They are in the pervious CSMs codex included in the rules for Word Bearers and Iron Warriors.

There aren't any in the codex, trust me. I'm not sure if there have been rules done for them by GW...
Damn, ninjad...

If they don't have rules then why do they even mention the warsmith with a picture (p68)?

Who knows... Maybe a bad translation between fluff and rules?

Notice that Warsmith is in quotes....
also try to point out which guy in that picture is a the warsmith...
do you see any servo arms?
That's just another name for the generic chaos lord in an Iron Warriors army.

I have another question a slight aside but it beats starting a new thread, the gift of chaos does your opponent choose which model is removed, say VS CCS could he choose a guardsman or do I choose (his col)?

The chaos player gets to choose.
It say you pick an enemy model, as in an individual model, and you make him take a toughness test.

The good Colonel Shostak isn't unkillable, he's just very good at diving for cover. As far as I can tell a Warsmith is essentially a chaos Lord and for a dark Apostle you could eith use the rules for a Lord or write your own rules. Or maybe you could get hold of a copy of the old codex or download it.

I know the old rules just wondering if there were new rules. And Shostak has yet to die by my hands, no thanks to that no good nork deadork, or something like that...

That's a good point, if you pick an officer, can they 'Look out Arrgh' onto a bodyguard? Or does it not count as a wound. I can't remember the way the rules on that work.

Sadly in what scientists are calling pretty fornicateing lame. GW decided to make the Chaos Codex the first victim of the new boring, simplified and 12 year old retard friendly lists. Extracting all that was fun and interesting about the chaos list (Legions, massive armoury, etc) with a watery knockoff that could only really be used to represent the Black Legion effectively.
That codex is why i stopped playing with my chaos marines, because they were no longer Alpha Legion, they were a bunch of guys with no special abilities or legion based attributes.

It's also the reason I haven't bought anything chaos related for years and switched to DE as soon as the new codex came out.... Now the long wait to 6th edition...

It specifically states 'no wounds are taken' and the rule 'look out arrggh' is to do with wound allocation. One point, if you can replace the model with a spawn which is worth 40 victory points, do you have to pay for it points wise?

No, you don't have to pay for the Spawn. How would you, you can't know how many you're going to make?

With the look out rule, it's a little hard to jump in front of indirect spontaneous mutation...

Why do that when you can take out the Col more easily? I took Shostak on today, with my Tau and without Nork, he still is unkillable, running away alone, shot at last turn with plasma rifle, hits, wounds and his refractor field saved him, lucky b*****d.
