So, another week, another DoA list. I'm starting to gather models, which means I'm committed to this army. I came up with this list this morning, so let's give it a try. (tactics underneath the units)
HQ
Dante-225
Love the model, and he makes Sang. Guard scoring. He'll go with the Sang. Guard and a Priest. I'm wondering where to deepstrike them, as they need to get that assault but can't out of deepstrike. So advice concerning that would be helpful.
Librarian-JP,BP/CCW- 125
With unleash rage and shield of sanguinus, he'll deep strike in with one of the 10 man squads. He'll stay near another squad so they can benefit from the shield.
Honor Guard: 3x melta, combi-flamer, jump packs
This is suicide melta at it's finest. They drop in, pop a big target, then probably get roasted. The flamer is there if I'm facing an army with few or no vehicles.
TROOPS
Assault Squad: 10 marines, 2x melta, PF
This is the librarian's squad. They basically do what meltaguns do, then hopefully can get into assault and smash the heretics.
Assault Squad: 10 marines, 2x melta, PF
The other priest goes here. This squad will work in synergy with the other 10 man assault squad.
Assault Squad: 5 marines, melta, Thunder Hammer
Hopefully this squad will come in last, and be my mop-up squad.
Sanguinary Guard: PF, Infernus pistol
This is Dante's squad. Hopefully they can weather the first turn storm and then assault into vicious combat.
Scout Squad: locator beacon, camo cloaks, bolters
This may seem totally uncompetitive, but I think it will work. The tables at my store often have a lot of terrain on them, so there is a perfect spot for these guys in a building. They can guide in the Assault Squads.
ELITES:
Sanguinary Priest: Jump Pack
FNP. Need I say mo'?
Sanguinary Priest: Jump pack
FAST ATTACK
Vanguard Veterans: PF, SS, Jump Packs
Heroically intervene, then assault everything. The SS is there to absorb the inevitable lascannon shot to keep this glass cannon alive.
So there it is, with some of my thoughts. Take it away, dakka!
